It’ll be in the 90’s with high humidity the rest of the week in South Bend. Hopefully the coaches and trainers are smart this week.
They are practicing in the morning today, & in t-shirts & shorts the first couple days. Then shells, then not full pads until Sunday.

I gotcha. Updated Weights/Heights for the roster. Notable movers- Ford down to 275
Mills up to 306
Mukam 280
Traore (only) 237
Wagner 288
Botelho 265
Estime 233
Otting is real light at 265. Terek and Pendleton are big, Jagusah, Absher, and Flanagan are HUGE!
LB's got bigger!

The two that jump out for me are Jean-Baptiste at 260 and Jagusah at 330 (!!!).

According to some, MF will screw this up like he does everything else.
BK really knew how to manage the temperature and his players, but Marcus Freeman is just an unknown commodity when it comes to this. I heard he just flips a coin each morning: Heads, practice indoors. Tails, practice outdoors. He doesn't even know that weather forecasts exist.

If Raridon is as athletic as we've been led to believe at 6'6 250 lbs there's gonna be trouble.
Hope he can stay healthy, seems to be a lot of hype building around him. I'm excited about the TE room, going to be a committee approach I think. Mitchell Evans played really well in the bowl game when Mayer opted out.

Speaking of Evans, give me all of the TE sneaks on 4th and short. Their conversion rate with that was incredible, a la the Eagles and that packed formation with Jalen Hurts.

There must be a misprint. We have 3 QBs over 6'1.

I was kind of hoping it would be more assuming he's probably next in line at OT. It's been a slow ride up to 288.
he has another whole year of S+C, he just needs to be ready to genuinely compete for fall camp 2024

Some of those guys have such a difficult time gaining enough weight to play big time college football on the OL. It was just a couple years ago when Correll struggled to get to 300. I think he was playing center at 290, at one point.

Beat me to the punch.

Who does Pete think he is telling us not to get carried away?!

That said, allow me to get carried away.

Those are some critical names on that list. Hartman goes without saying, but I'm so damn excited for that Cam Hart/BenMo combo at CB, and it's critical they find a guy who can settle into that nickel role. Does Lewis finally play consistent football? Idk, so I love seeing Mickey's name pop up early in camp.

There's going to be a TON of competition behind Estime at RB, and that's a pleasant surprise to see Love and Ford's names popping up. Ford had a pretty solid freshman year at PSU, but it seems like he got lost in the shuffle thereafter. The depth at RB is so damn impressive.

I'm fully aboard the Schrauth hype train. Plenty of room to join me

I think he’s going to have a sneaky good year. 20-30 catches. Hartman will find him.
I think you are probably right, but man it would be nice if 4-5 of our recruited, scholarship receivers finally stepped up and became big time players.

Jaden Mickey being a legit, starter quality CB would be huge for the secondary. Sounds like they struck gold with Morrison and Mickey last cycle.

Charles Jagusah
OL6-7 1/4330

That's a big boy. Any chance he takes one of the guard positions this year?

There are some really nice underneath options between Greathouse, Thomas, Salerno, and even Tyree (to say nothing of the tight end position). Right now ND needs somebodies to emerge for the outside roles. There are a lot of hopes hanging on Merriweather and his one career reception.
