I think the hardest I've ever laughed in a theater was when he cut his wrist trying to break a window.

When it cuts to the shot of him blacking out and limp in the ambulance I lost it… then when he’s smoking a cigarette in a wheelchair out front hours later, I lost it again.

I think my favorite line is “I think I’m invincible. I don’t think I can die. It’s the only explanation.”

Back on topic....girlfriend and I did the Silence of the Lambs and subsequent sequels. Hannibal is an elite antihero.

Also watched American History X....I thought it was very good.

Silence of the Lambs is so freaking good. The doorbell surprise cut is one of my favorite moments ever. Somehow I've never watched Hannibal though. Is it worth seeing?

Hannibal and Red Dragon are both worth watching IMO.

But I agree, movie was great.

I agree it was much better than Hannibal. Red Dragon was right up there with Silence of the Lambs IMO. Compelling protagonist, Hannibal, and very interesting villain too.

I think if it were the very first film it’d be held higher,… idk if I hold it THAT high, as I think Lambs is one of the greatest horror films, hell, films period, ever. I do think it’s a great movie tho,… love Red Dragon

Nope. I saw something about a Willy Wonka reboot earlier today. Hollywood is really out of ideas. It doesn't even feel like the last version with Johnny Depp was that long ago. I guess 18 years is too long without redoing Wonka.

It looks so soulless. It's gonna bomb so hard. Chalamet is a good actor, but completely miscast for that role. Really who could replicate Johnny Depp though?

Marvel movies really ruined everything. Every film now has to be a box office success now and using IP that already has a following is the best way to be successful commercially. None of the studios want to take risks on stuff that already does not have an existing fanbase
