Legitimate question, having not gone to ND or really knowing anyone with an “elite” education, does a ND degree really carry that much clout?
Absolutely. I wouldn’t spend $200,000 for a general studies degree but with a scholarship and a good degree like finance, marketing, accounting, engineering, etc. you’re looking at a higher than average salary no doubt. At one point I read a salary comparison for top schools and ND was significantly higher for starting, mid, and top end salary vs most schools outside the top 10-20. if you get an advanced degree like law or business it pays off even bigger. I’ve heard that some big and high paying law firms for instance won’t even consider hiring unless you go to a top 30 law school. That could mean hundreds of thousands more per year. The alumni network for higher paying jobs, particularly in bigger cities, is pretty significant. A finance degree from ND can land you a lucrative job in NYC. Very hard to get that job at a mid tier school unless you busy your butt and move up the ladder.

As an outsider who can only try to read between the lines, my bet is Oregon, given his dad’s showcasing of a strong tendency to care primarily about the immediate paycheck. Better hope he pans out and plays in the NFL.

You mean to tell me that along with lackluster go carts, there is a problem with the Mexican food scene? We might as well close up shop.

Anyone have any food recommendations for Oklahoma City? I don't want to dig up the Dante thread.

I LOL, every time my sister raves about the ranch dressing. Can anyone point me to a restaurant that has amazing ketchup?
Honestly, the ranch dressing is not even that good. But when you combine ranch with salsa, it very much appeals to the Midwesterner trying to be a southwesterner.
