I'll admit that I didn't think they had much of a chance, but I never thought they shouldn't fight on and go down swinging. Nobody's happier to see them bloodying the bear's nose.
Why should Ukraine have to negotiate over anything? Withdraw, simple solution.I see some of you are still holding out hope that thousands of more Ukrainians and Russians die in order for Ukraine to win this war. The sad thing is the west and Russia seem hell bent on accomplishing that and the public seems to be cheering it on rather than trying to make both sides come to a table and negotiate. How far has the Ukrainian offensive gotten, a few kilometers and at what cost? This whole thing is sickening and the fact that there are Americans cheering this massacre on like Ukraine is actually going to win. Best case scenario is this ends in a stalemate and eventually there is a diplomatic solution to save lives. Worst case scenario Ukraine is turned into a third world country and loses the majority of its 18 - 22 year olds.
Just a friendly reminder without Russia we would all be speaking German right now. How many million Russians were killed in WWII? You really think they are going to back down in any way? This is either going to grind on for years with thousands more dead and billions lost or people are going to realize the only resolution to this is a diplomatic one.
