Do we hang on to his sister as a soccer recruit after all of this drama?
? A women's soccer player costs us nothing. (unless she's on scholarship I suppose). Either way it's not her fault. And "all this drama" started like three hours ago.Do we hang on to his sister as a soccer recruit after all of this drama?
Is this even a question where anyone would take Buchner over him?If I'm taking one QB for just this next season, I'm taking Van Dyke over Buchner as well.
Well there is like 8 million dark horses in the USIts funny... many ND fans and analysts loved and still love Buchner and these Bama fans will have none of it. LOL
Tyler Buchner - dark horse candidate for Heisman.
I hate to call out Dublin but he mentioned that TVD is worse than Buch to which Katz responded. And, I agreed with him.Is this even a question where anyone would take Buchner over him?
You learned this when? He looked pretty good last time we saw him play an actual game.He just isn’t. Doesn’t have the arm, doesn’t have the head, doesn’t have the intangibles. He needs to play at a level where he can rely on his raw physical gifts, that’s not Power 5. He might be able to pull that off in the MWC or MAC.
He did? Ok. I assume I watch the same games you watch and I could have sworn he threw 3 Ints, 2 of which were Pick-6s. 😂😂. You do you though. I’ll be over here with actual expectations. You learned this when? He looked pretty good last time we saw him play an actual game.
He had 5 touchdowns. Not sure why you list pick sixes separate from interceptions. Anyways, one was a tipped pass. Whether that was something he did wrong or not, i don't know.. I dont recall the other two.He did? Ok. I assume I watch the same games you watch and I could have sworn he threw 3 Ints, 2 of which were Pick-6s. 😂😂. You do you though. Singer just posted a video with Hyde and Goolsby. (I'm sorry to some, you're welcome to others).
Can confirm. But that's par for the course at BGI, it seems. This video gave me ear AIDS. I made it like 3 minutes in. Goolsby is just a stupid human being and Tim Hyde is a candy ass. The backup QB transferring is a "real kicker for this season?" You serious Clark?
I mean, they come from a different time where transfers were rare/frowned upon unless transferring down a division. I get it.The butt hurt from Goolsby (and to a lesser degree Hyde) is hilarious. They are so convinced that they are right that rather than reassess,

I forgot I had started typing my own reaction to only being able to tolerate 3 minutes of that video. But long and short of it is that it's just such a dumb mindset devoid of logic and reason. You can't count on Buchner to stay healthy. It's unfortunate, but it's true. So you need to go to the portal because what you had wasn't good enough (sorry Drew, you played hard, but facts is facts) or couldn't stay healthy enough (sorry Tyler).I mean, they come from a different time where transfers were rare/frowned upon unless transferring down a division. I get it.
I need details bro.I've been meaning to mention this about Buchner. This is gonna sound strange but as someone who has studied this area extensively and is affected by these same issues, I can see that Buchner likely has airway/disordered breathing issues that (can't get into the details here) affect his entire body and mental makeup, the three most important of which are executive decision making, proper nose breathing and optimized skeletal structure: 1) He looks to be a mouth-breather - mouth is always open and probably is a shallow breather; 2) You can see his nervous, stream of consciousness thought process when he speaks to reporters compared to say Hartman; 3) he is clumsy (remember his stairs injury) and is easily injured; and 4) as a number of IE posters mentioned, he's nervous and "not composed" or "doesn't have mental toughness," etc. when he is in the pocket so he tends to tuck and run and not hang in for his progressions. This is a real thing and many people are affected by this but the individual just thinks "this is how I am," but it's not an optimized state of functioning. Sure, TB has the measurables/arm skills and is smart in other ways and is truly a "warrior," and with A LOT of work/coaching/development, he may develop and get better (and he'll have his moments like the '22 Bowl game), but he doesn't have the natural QB attributes, presence, and focus, and it will always be a challenge for him to be consistent and truly excel at QB. I could be wrong, but you just don't see the things I outlined here in star QBs. And I would say that the other ND QBs (and JJ McCarthy) don't have these issues and instead have more natural executive presence and decision-making abilities. Bryce Young is a perfect example of maybe not the most physically blessed QB, but he has the presence and focus to become a star NFL QB like Russell Wilson, another undersized but hyper-focused QB in this mold. Just my two cents anyway.
I need details bro.
Nope. But apparently Stanford is a realistic option for him, so that would still be a great degree.Does he have his degree?
Why? He's better than anyone else on the current roster (sans Hartman) and prolly better than anyone we could get from the portal to come in as backup.Kinda odd that Freeman will let him test the waters.
Marshall D was way better than South Carolina due to so many deflectionsThe starting QB was resolved at the B&G game, stats don't lie:
Hartman: 13-16, 189 yards, 2 TD's, 1 rushing TD, longest pass 46 yards
Buchner: 8-18, 44 yards, 1 INT, longest pass 15 yards (with the better receivers)
Angeli: 8-12, 72 yards, longest pass 19 yards
Buchner really needs another year like 2021. I was surprised how he played in the Marshall game vs. how he played vs. South Carolina.
Tommy went to Bama to take them down from the inside. NOTRE DAME MAN!!!My first thought when I heard he was in the portal was Tamper Tommy.
Its my understanding that entering the portal is a sort of "burn the boats" moment. Maybe im wrong. Why? He's better than anyone else on the current roster (sans Hartman) and prolly better than anyone we could get from the portal to come in as backup.
The only recruit I can remember entering the portal and then coming back is Houston Griffith. That was probably because he didn’t have other options. Its my understanding that entering the portal is a sort of "burn the boats" moment. Maybe im wrong.
