For sure. Which is what made the OC search so frustrating. But given the blowback and the import Freeman places on OL play I really doubt they’ll repeat themselves here.
As for the potentially available options, there are two important differences.
Teams tend to lock down the best OCs early, and we were relatively late in the hiring cycle when Rees left. Longo, for instance, was already taken.
And unlike OCs, OLs don’t work under multi-year contracts with seven-figure buyouts.
