Of course the paid sites haven't said a word. Someone on 247 made a good point today about why in the world we pay for facts but only get things they're hearing or comfortable telling us.

I will say I like how they seem to be taking their time on this hire. Either they appreciate the gravity of this hire or a bunch of top dudes are turning us down.

Can't be the case. We were explicitly told the OL coaching position at ND would be HIGHLY coveted, just like the OC position would be should Rees ever leave...

They could already have a candidate selected for all anyone knows.

Guidugli hasnt been announced yet officially I believe. If no one is leaking info to the media, it could take a couple of weeks after a candidate is selected for the ND background checks to be completed.

If anything, the Ludwig fiasco probably prompted the staff to tighten up even more. We probably wont hear anything until it is 100% locked up.

Bart Miller, Illinois’s OL coach has a pretty impressive resume too. Guy is from Chicago too.

Some people are probably hyperventilating because they think that Swarbrick is too cheap to pay for an OL coach. So ND and MF are likely to just forego an OL coach altogether for this season.

Or get a student manager to do it.

We certainly should have the $ if you assume Parker isn’t getting paid what Rees was getting. Luke probably would want the AHC title as well.

These kinds of offensive collaborations can work... Look at Tulane - Jim Svoboda was OC more in title but by all accounts he was the unifying force and really helped to develop Michael Pratt and build the Tulane offensive identity, whereas Slade Nagle, although only TE coach last season, was the actual genius play caller. But it worked wonders as for Tulane last year, as it did for LSU under the dynamic duo of Joe Brady and Steve Ensminger (ok, maybe not so much him but he was the OC) for their epic 2018 run.
