Kid just collapsed on the field on MNF. Supposedly they did CPR and gave him oxygen. Hopefully everything will be ok.

That was sickening to watch. 9 minutes is a long time. From experience, cpr usually goes for about 25 minutes. With him being so young, I’m sure they throw the kitchen sink at him.

Same. It just seemed off. There was zero stumbling. Just fell straight back. Didn’t look like a head injury.

Most likely cause. Would require a pretty significant head injury to require on field CPR barring an undiagnosed aneurysm or such. May never know and doesn’t really matter at this point.

Tee Higgin’s helmet went into his chest. That probably played a large role.

Hamlin’s head wasn’t involved.

My first thought was basilar skull/c spine injury as there are reports he has a pulse but not breathing on his own. Most forcible part looked like the helmet to the chin causing the snapping effect.

Maybe. Although I always thought tamponade was a condition that took time to develop, not something that happened instantly.

I can’t believe they haven’t canceled this game. So at least the leaders of the team could be at the hospital.
