Seeing Pinnock's thread reminded me of this guy. Pitt's starting FS, and doing pretty well.

Kid just collapsed on the field on MNF. Supposedly they did CPR and gave him oxygen. Hopefully everything will be ok.

I posted in the NFL thread, but I’ll just post it here.

That was sickening to watch. 9 minutes is a long time. From experience, cpr usually goes for about 25 minutes. With him being so young, I’m sure they throw the kitchen sink at him.

Idk how the players continue playing tonight. Prayers for Damar Hamlin.

Brutal. Prayers out to the young man and his family. Hit seemed pretty straightforward. Right shoulder appeared to hit him in the chest but also then also the chin, potential cardiac event, arrhythmia/contusion. Head injury possible. Such a brutal sport. Hoping for the best.

My first thought was cardiac event

Most likely cause. Would require a pretty significant head injury to require on field CPR barring an undiagnosed aneurysm or such. May never know and doesn’t really matter at this point.

My first thought was basilar skull/c spine injury as there are reports he has a pulse but not breathing on his own. Most forcible part looked like the helmet to the chin causing the snapping effect.

Praying for that young man. Perspective is that at the end of the day this is just a game…this is about a young man’s life.

Let his teammates and competitors focus on him and not on playing a damn game tonight. It’s a GAME.

I can’t believe they haven’t canceled this game. So at least the leaders of the team could be at the hospital.

Was at the bars watching in Cincinnati. Never have seen everyone go silent. Could hear the ambulance at the stadium.
