Collectively, it’s a talented group. No one will replace Foskey so it’ll have to be a group effort.

Smoke on other boards is that he's transferring after the bowl game. Just really seems like we bungled the DT position with him and Lacey + no transfers coming in.

D line in general is going to be a problem next year if ND doesn't hit on some transfers. ND badly needs some pass rushers.

Losing out on Fiske was brutal because he could have been an impact player.

He was projected to be a starter this year. Why would he leave?

First time I've heard that little tidbit. Mills plays alot inside, and they have Cross and now Rubio, who gained some good experience and playing time this year.

Big K barely played in his career, and is coming off an ACL injury. There's a chance he could make that sort of jump to starting (or atleast in a heavy rotational role), but also more honestly, it feels like a stretch statement.

Maybe Mills and/or Cross can be monsters at 3T but 1T will still be an issue and SDE is a problem unless Nana really makes a giant push. So I really just don’t see it.

I don't either. I know its verboten to say this but there's evidence that our DL play has gotten worse since Elston left. Talent needle is also pointing down unless guys like Bothelo and Mensah really emerge.

I was being sarcastic and totally agree with you. Here’s what Drew Pyne didn’t do…turn the ball over. Buchner has basically played 3 games…VT, OSU and Marshall. In two games he threw 2 picks…Pyne never threw 2 picks in a game. He wasn’t great but he battled and always gave us a chance.

ha, fair enough. Not that anyone should care, but I’ve reached my max with these threads getting detailed and that was the point I was making. I keep checking back in to the “2023 Transfer QB” thread “(knowing that it’s not likely we get any worthwhile update until next week) just to have more and more posts about our 2023 D-line. Couple that with the umpteen food threads and yea, my bad I guess for the annoyance.
