Couldn’t agree more…seems like a make or break season for Rees (assuming we get Hartman). I still have this fear, (irrational or not) that we are bringing in all this AMAZING TALENT on offense, that Rees is going to waste. I’m all set with any Rees excusesI agree that he wasn't as bad as he was made out to be this year, but that wasn't my point.
Rees has every opportunity to show out next year as a premier OC because he has a ton to work with...finally. Talented and experienced QB (assuming it's Hartman), good OL (could be great), great RB room, solid up-and-coming WR room, talented TE room.
"Well, Pyne missed throws." "Well, the OL is trash." "Well, our WRs suck." Those were all legit reasons why the offense was hamstrung and thankfully, aside from the human error aspect where mistakes will inevitably happen (See: "we just need to execute better"), the offense as a whole won't have to deal with them as a systemic plague week in and week out. They become the exception, rather than the rule.
And if by some chance the offense still sucks, all arrows will point to Rees because, again, there will not be any more excuses left in the tank for him next year.
