Here’s the thing about “tampering”… there are no rules against a third party (say, a parent) reaching out to another third party (say, a beat reporter or a collective) to ask if a school might be interested in their son. And vice versa. That’s why there’s all of this “tampering is out of control!” stuff being printed.

Where coaches are really getting upset is with the collectives contacting parents and saying “transfer to our school we’ll pay you $X” but NCAA ain’t going to do shit unless you can *prove* coaches are involved (which no one can).

I digress, the way this ends is ND self reports something frivolous that isn’t even a violation, the NCAA determines it is a violation anyways, and we are on probation for 7 years, because fuck you, that’s why.

Trust the staff? Okay but if Hartman passes there may only be so many good QBs left in this Portal cycle. I really think we need an additional option to Buchner and a Minchey and Jelly.

I think without a QB transfer to make this QB Room more robust you can lower any chances on a legit chance at CFP - especially next year as it will still only be 4 teams.
