If the DC got promoted I'd imagine he wants a defensive friendly offense, so I'd imagine they'll still run the triple.

So Navy fired their best coach ever and took a PR hit in how they did it just to promote the DC?

Makes no difference to me since my grandfather was an Army man, but it seems kinda fubar.

The defense these past few seasons have been very good. The offense itself has been pretty bad and they were worried about the DC getting poached eventually. Might as well give it a try

True. I think the offense is what it is. If you have the right mix of guys it can be difficult for opponents. Seems like they never hit at QB since Reynolds graduated. And, I think Covid restrictions and the aftermath hit them harder than AF and Army in terms of not being able to take advantage of the Covid year. Seems dumb that all of the academies weren't the same, but that's my understanding of it.

I don't know how Air Force, Army and Navy can run any other offense with the personnel they'd get consistently.

For as big of a douche Bielema apparently is, he actually had some solid relationships with HS coaches in the south while he was at Arky.

The first thing he did upon being hired at U of I was contact the head of the state's HS Football association. I believe almost literally the first thing he did when the deal was done for him to be the HC of Illinois.

It's kind of a joke how even the three star talent goes everywhere else in the Big Ten when you consider Illinois is one of the better public universities in the nation.

Timmy Chang just got there. They went 3-10. It's probably harder to win at Hawaii right now than the service academies.

Their facilities are complete garbage, including the stadium they play in. The situation is not good. From a football standpoint, running the option wouldn't be a bad idea.

That’d be hilarious but I cannot imagine the NFL wants any part of a $90 million buyout or whatever it is.
I don't see it happening either....... but it is Denver and they just signed Wilson to $242 mil so they aren't the brightest team out there.

That reporter is going to have his access cut to a team that started 6-1 and finished 7-6. Hashtag sad face.
