I looked earlier and they weren’t addressing it much. Akana stuff just happened too. Banning a decent amount of folks. Thune basically admitted all his confidence was in what Arnold was telling them. They are more right than wrong and things change type stuff

I may be in the minority here, but if he wanted to submit it, I wouldn't accept it if I were Marcus Freeman. The kid lied to your face, lied to your assistants, lied to the recruits in the class, and used your hat and team's image as a prop in his announcement. Bowen showed his true colors - it isn't going to really change if he gets hit with mom's rolling pin. Talent be damned, I don't think that you can legitimately trust the kid.

I think it’s worth noting that he didn’t yank off an OU hat before putting on the Oregon one. It’s almost like he had more respect for that program than he did the Irish.

I can deal with a lot of things. A person who lies very easily to your face is not one of them. You can work with a kid who has academic challenges, or comes from a difficult upbringing. You can't work with someone that you can't trust. It never ends well.

And this is why the whole "verbal commit" process has to be reevaluated under the NIL era. If players can back out of their "verbal commit" like this why should coaches/universities by held to their "verbal commit"?

Freeman could remind him about his recruitment in the middle of making him run gassers. There is obviously a line with recruits but my take is that Bowen had too many people in his ear and really didn’t know what to do. Get ‘em on campus and you can mold them in to better men.

Nope. Sorry. Usually I don’t begrudge the kids. They’re under a ton of pressure from a lot of directions, and they’re kids.

But lying straight-up to the coaches and his supposed future teammates and the shit he pulled with the hat that seemed to mortify even his own mother tells me this one’s not worth the trouble. We have other guys who can play safety.
