I think he is lying about being a former QB too. I have never seen such an out of shape QB - he would do better in the back of a counter of a convenience store hawking the Built Bars and Mountain Dew. He is a Soup Nazi and he talks for hours on ND and does this schtick "I want people to take an opposing side" and then bans them for challenging him. Whenever I hear "Do Better" - I think I want to throw up. He went nuts on me for so many basic falsehoods I called him on. His predictions are so wrong. He makes the most homerish forecasts every season. Yes he brings it on himself.
He always critiques the other ND analysts (or whatever you fucking call this group of clowns) as though they are idiots, and he thinks himself as the Mel Kiper of College Football. But I do think Tom Loy and Pete Sampson are more professional and have better sources which drives him crazy.
It was funny when he wouldn't mention Kenny Minchey until he had his Commitment Statement and held off reporting for days and now he spews this crap about Bowen. What a tool.
He hates Irish Envy because the content is open. I have not been on Irish Breakdown in 6 months and I don't miss it.

And then you have Vince.
He was a failed freshman football coach. Like every school, if you coach freshmen or JV, they give you some BS job title for Varsity so you can stand on the sideline.
So he always talks about being a former “passing game coordinator.”
On IB he was the “analyst” but NEVER analyzed anything. He would start to talk & Driskell would just cut him off & say the exact opposite & Vince would just not his head & agree.
The funny thing is, Driskell was cutting him off because Vince didn’t know anything & would just sound ignorant. So in those cases I was glad Driskell would talk over him.
I finally called him out because he would laugh, (sarcastically), & say, “that guy” or “don’t get me started on him,” talking about ND coaches. We might not like how Del coached receivers, or BK did certain things, but Vince making comments about how he coached receivers as a former passing game coordinator and what ND should & would do if he was coaching, was too much. He was talking about Jordan Johnson not getting snaps as a freshman & laughed at BK & said if he (Vince) was coaching, he could find a way to get Johnson the ball. And when someone said, “what about Del?” he laughed and said don’t get me started on him.
Then, when Driskell wasn’t on the show, someone asked Vince to breakdown the TD play to Mayer against UNC. Vince, after spending a minute talking about how great of a play design it was, & how he was really glad the questioned was asked, because he needed to explain how it worked to the audience…Vince just says, “the receivers all run routes to the right & Mayer runs to the left.” No shit Vince.
The next day when Driskell was back he spent a few minutes explaining how the play was set up by running the same formation multiple times and running the ball after sending the receivers across & Mayer blocking, etc.. and play action & Mayer holding his route, then running underneath to confuse the safety, etc…
Vince just sat there & nodded.
If IB told Vince to take a long vacation, left Ryan Roberts alone & let him do his job, & Driskell just broke down film, nothing else, it would be okay.
