This isn't about the RB room. This is about us missing out on someone electric who can "take-it-to-the-house" in the return game and the passing attack. This guy looked different. I was looking forward to the excitement he was possibly going to bring in areas where we have had zero excitement.

Having said that: I see the Sanders/Family connection. Don't see how you can outrecruit that. So coaches: OK You drew a bad hand here.

**Hand Up**

This is my fault.

I added Dylan to my recruiting class in NCAA14 Revamped. He's scored many touchdowns on both kick returns and jet sweeps with his 97 SPD and 95 ACC stats.

You can go ahead and chalk up any other class defections to me, as well.

Was going to be a gadget player at ND.
Didn't see him as fit per the normal offensive scheme.
Still wanted him as a wildcard, but not worried.

This is a big loss. It’s also a bitch move to do an in-home with the coaches and then decommit on social media two days later.
I really don't think it's that big of a loss.
I was excited for his ceiling, I won't lie.
But he is still a big wildcard project at position of little need.

This isn't like Dante / Keon type of sure fire loss.
Bowen is the only one I'm truly worried about.

People keep dismissing Deon here. "Colorado's a dumpster fire" etc. Weren't you paying attention when Riley brought in 20 transfers and USC went from 4-8 to 11-2? Sanders will recruit players AND coaches for a quick turnaround. With his street cred and NFL background he might even out recruit Riley.
If Oregon and Utah can run top 10 programs so can Colorado. And its ridiculous to say Colorado "doesn't have the money" Its not the University that's paying for this stuff anymore, everything has changed.

Prime Timed.

So he didn’t just go ahead and decommit in person when he could have I assume just the other day?
Maybe he did? The coaches could have agreed it's better for him to break the news and make the moment his. Just speculating.

Only issue I have, like others have mentioned, is him not de-committing in person yesterday. That show his true character.

Is it outside the return window at the jeweler for the ND necklace?

I’m honestly kinda shocked that he would pull the trigger that quick for “coach prime”… would’ve actually respected it more if he went back to KSU.

Saying we got NIL’d by Colorado… if true… is devastating and hilarious. Hard to believe on the surface but weirder shit has happened. Aurrileous Bennett got “NIL’d” to freaking Illinois back when we used to call them “bag men.”

Huge loss for us but a bigger loss for him. I hate it for the kid, he could be the most dynamic player in the country and 2/3s of the country will never see it because people don't stay up to watch shitty teams in the pacific timezone.

An absolutely tragic mistake by this young man and his family but we'll watch the story unfold.

I am to the point that no one is committed to anyone until the paper is signed. If he didn’t want to come here it is what it is.

But be a responsible person and tell the coaches to their face. Parents that don’t teach their kids to do right burns my ass. It’s not that hard.

My speculation is in line with all of this.

I don’t even think “National Letter of Intent Day” means anything anymore. Kids can back out and transfer whenever they want. What a mess.

College Football Player is an at will position going forward.
For the majority of P5 players/families this is just going to be a 4/5 year opportunity to make wages unavailable in a traditional labor market.

The worst bench OL at Rutgers this year got scholarship, $15k stipend, and $50k ‘NIL’, and Schiano offered him a raise into ‘23… (source: the dad)

If 99% of players aren’t going to have > 2 yrs in pro sports. It is absolutely rational to max out your $ during eligibility.

Sure there are intangibles to value about different situations, but the reality will remain that money talks. Most of us have a number that would make us move & leave our jobs. No different for these guys until the market corrects

This sucks, but the cupboard was getting pretty full at RB. Even though none of our current players/commitments had his skillset, we're still in a great position.

Curious if this means they'll look to identify another transfer to or if this just helps them get closer to 85.

2023 Colorado schedule
Game 1 - At TCU
Game 2 - Nebraska

I assume they will lose to TCU although I’m not sure of whats coming back. But the Nebraska game is very interesting. Rhule could be playing for the future of Nebraska football earlier than he thought.

to bad about loosing edwards he could have been a good one at ND, but i get it. he can go to CU and be the man or he could go to ND and fight for playing time in a crowded backfield.
