That argument is completely hollow when the things the coaches force them to do to play football precludes most from actually studying anything but football while in school.

I'm still shocked that an injured tight end from Michigan entering the portal triggered a discussion about reauditing the transfer portal and has people believing college football as we know it coming to an end.

This shit won't end until Dabo gets at least two more raises, because nobody deserves anything but Dabo. Just ask him.

Can’t believe the narrative is going to “Dabo hates players”. Dabo paid as many players as anyone, he only had a problem with it when other schools could do it. It was a great system for it to funnel it through his mega church while Tennessee was dropping off Happy Meals Etc.

I just want clarity on it. At least in professional sports, there is an ability to look how is getting what, which teams have the highest payroll, etc. But we are left guessing on how much of this is as prevalent as it may appear. 5m for a player is eye opening. Was that one offer or was there 20 offers of 5m or more for that player? Who offered, what's the distribution on overall offers going out, etc. It just feels worse than it probably is because of the lack of clarity.

Who said Dabo hates players? Dabo doesn't hate players, he hates the game. Especially now.

I think he's briliant. I don't agree with everything he says, but the guy knows what he's doing. Elliott and Venables finally get HC jobs, so he promotes from within at a discount to replace them. Wherever that money is going, it isn't to assistants.

For me he's a Jekyll and Hyde. One sentence, I'm totally down with what he's saying, then the following sentence I make a bitter beer face. He's kind of lukewarm yet I still know exactly where it is he's coming from, if that makes sense.

Don’t think NFL can do anything about it.

Even if NIL makes a permanent change to kids staying in school longer, it is a one time pain. There might be one or two classes that are weak but the following classes would return to normal.

The NFL doesn't want underclassmen in the draft. They prefer as much film on a prospect as possible to minimize the risk.
