He still does have 3 years of eligibility left FWIW. Maybe his 6th year he'll play like a 5 star.

Erick All, the TE out of Michigan, appears that he maybe entering the portal.

Citing “not everyone/everything are what they seem and I learned it the hard way here at Michigan.”

All was up there with Mayer for 2023 TE prospects in the draft, before his injury.

Woah, so team captains in the playoff are transferring now…. 😬

College football as we knew it is ending. This is something different.
Cade McNamara was also a captain.

I guess All has been out most/all of the season with an injury? It’s not like he was going to play in the CFP, and maybe got the message he’d been passed on the depth chart and felt burned about it?

According to Driskell, ND isn't really going after Leary. Said there's some concerns about his injury history, but there's some other "things" as well. Didn't go into what those other concerns were. Also, Loy didn't say where Rees would be today and specifically said if he doesn't say where a coach is visiting, it's because they don't want people knowing. My guess is Rees is going after one of the portal QBs.
I know where Rees was saturday! I saw him boozing at Sheffields in Chicago.. Just kept to himself. Still just a kid gotta go out and have fun too.

You know, the players always got the shaft in CFB, so this new freedom has mostly been a positive for the kids. And it’s hard to argue when coaches can up and dip whenever they feel like it for a better opportunity.

But man. This current version of the Portal and free agency is *insane*. There are good players in good spots at good schools dipping and it’s kind of hard to balance being pro-player and anti-obscene rich coaches and schools with the overall good of the game everyone is benefiting from.

That's an apt metaphor for American politics.

You act like they were third world citizens. They had it pretty go to begin with. Did they need some other items sure but not a free for all.
I'm not acting like anyone is third world anything. You said that. I said what I said.

Relatively speaking, they didn't have it as good as you and a lot of others like to think they did. You're going to tell me about tuition and room and board when there is a big picture far beyond that. We're past this debate at this point. SCOTUS went 9-0 in their favor, right? It's been bullshit for decades now. The end of days started a while ago. Even before OC and DC added a second comma to their salaries.

Jim Harbaugh fucked about with how many scholarships and scholarship offers? How many rugs did he yank out from underneath a verballed commit? His team captain who had surgery and hasn't played in three months declaring for the portal is absolutely not a sign of the end of anything.

Funny how everyone is scared shitless that CFB is "ending as we know it" now that the players are getting theirs.

So it goes.
Scared? Of what, exactly?

And it’s not like the kids were slaves - they got to pick where they went, and got a free education for it. So that’s a shit take on your part. 🤷‍♂️

"College football as we knew it is ending" doesn't sound at all like exaggerated pearl clutching? It's change. You were right when you said "it's something different." That's all it is. Different. The sport isn't coming to an end. Some people just don't like it. Maybe there are levels of discomfort for fans, conscious or subconscious. College football is not ending. They're going to print cash.

You made a slave analogy, and ol' boy before you said something about third world citizens. I posted less than 25 words and I've got two dudes putting words in my mouth like the players were walking around barefoot and getting beaten, but I have the shit take?

"now that the players are getting theirs" is what I said, and other posters are coming at me with third world and slave analogies?

Right on, Bruv. Never said third world, never said slave. Peace.

Yes, he's been out for the entire conference schedule with an injury. He had surgery. He's not really abandoning his team in their time of need.
We're talking about Michigan here, right? Like people on THIS board or any other ND board have grievance with THAT program having players transfer out of it?

I’ve heard that Harbaugh actually pulled his scholly…
