I think they (ND staff) are both:

1.) Assuming he's committed until he advises them otherwise

2.) Recruiting him as though he's undecided regardless of what he's saying because as the tale as old as time suggests - look at what they do, not what they say...

This seems like the move. I wouldn't read too much into taking other safety commits at this point. It's not like QB. It's a position where you often need bodies, and many kids are versatile enough to move to other positions over time.

Personally I think Bowen sticks, because for all the visits he hasn't decommitted yet, and because the future at ND is better and brighter than at Oklahoma. But I guess we'll see.

All worked out. Did a couple of in home visits with one of her teammates.
Later picked up a 5 star out of the portal that is currently yelling at me for not putting away the laundry

I picked up a 5 star as well. Still my best recruiting efforts. Did multiple in home visits, got the parents on board, and even did a Jim Hairball sleep over to seal the deal. I did some facilities and uniform upgrades along the way.

Poster on OU 247 noticed Bowen enrolled at OU in the directory which isn’t surprising or abnormal to enroll at each school you’re interested in. Appears he’s filed the paperwork for ND as well. However, Drumm chimed in saying he’ll have an update the OU fans will like soon.

If you were solid with ND, why would you enroll anywhere else?
Because you’re not solid with ND. At the end of the day, he most likely flips based on all of his actions. The ND staff is doing everything they can to hold on to him, but they’re getting played.

Or he is not solid to ND, they are well-aware, and are still fighting . . .

The only reason to think ND still has a shot is that the beat writers seem to be positive... and the beat writers have been proven to be the last to know about a few things recently.

HE GONE.

If Bowen wants to screw ND, why doesn't just decommit? On the other hand if he is scared to decommit like Dale suggestions, that makes he think he is not fully sold on OU.

In what sense are they “getting played?” Like you said they’re doing everything they can to keep him. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t, but they know the score here better than we do. And this isn’t a Dante Moore situation where we’re not taking other kids because of Bowen.

How about the fact that he took 1 official visit.

To ND.

If he was really gone, you'd think he'd open things up and allow him to take officials and make decisions based off that.

Or maybe there just isn't that big of a difference in an official vs unofficial other than covering expenses. It's not like they left him out of things on his OU unofficials.

OU is also short on OVs, helping them if anything. He’s visited over 10 times. Can’t imagine why exactly one of them being an OV matters.

It wasn't just OU though.

There were several schools he could've OV'd to and gotten perspective. He chose not to and stayed committed.

I’m not saying that’s what is happening here but I never understand the wait until the last possible second and lie about it stuff,… it seems to bite us on the defensive side of the ball periodically

If it is OU and ND all along, the official visit is laughable. He was/is happy to unofficial visit there on his own dime. Like Dale said he is most likely afraid to decommit or is still torn. Regardless...any way you look at this the OU arrow is pointed up and ND's is neutral probably at best. If he was all ND at this point, just come out and say it. No one would bat an eye being as you are committed to that school currently.

The OU beat writers haven't given an update on this recruitment recently that OU fans wouldn't like, so I wouldn't put much stock in that to be honest. The same could be said for ND.

Someone knows something they aren't willing to share at this point (or no one has any idea expect Bowen). The longer that goes on the outlook is all Irish or Sooner depending how "you" read the situation.

My personal read says he isn't taking the easy way out and reaffirming his commitment, which likely isn't a good sign.

I think Peyton staying committed to us all along should be a positive and in ND's favor??

To be honest what does he see in OU?? Venables seems like a smug coach that won't last at OU.
