Get a better QB and maybe Lenzy comes back. If I were him I would utilize his 6th year of college ball, I think that would help his NFL chances. Lenzy was injured early in his ND career and that seemed to slow him down.

The crazy thing about the play with his great catch was the fact that Pyne used every bit of strength in his body to throw the ball the 40 yards. He was even running into the throw to boot. And the ball was still underthrown.

Yes Pyne does suck but so does Tommy.

yeah, pyne put all he had into that pass and still barley got the ball there. lenzy blew by his defender and it should have been an easy touchdown. then in the 2nd quarter he throws a dime to jayden thomas from about 40 yards out.

Lenzy has been on the wrong end of some Irish fans' frustrations but it appears he's been a lot more consistent catching the ball this year and making the most of his opportunitites, which is fantastic to see.

I think the Irish would welcome him back with open arms for one more season and hopefully a competent QB rises from a heavy QB competition and we can elevate our play there. He'd have a lot to gain from that.

Also wouldn't be shocked if he decided to take his talents elsewhere, hopefully he doesn't but I wouldn't blame him.

Another guy who has constantly been torched by the fanbase for having the indecency of being the best player available at his position.

O'Malley had a story today about the remaining 2018 class and threw out a crazy stat: Braden Lenzy has more Notre Dame touchdowns (10) than his other WR classmates (Kevin Austin, Lawrence Keys, Micah Jones, and Joe Wilkins) combined (9).

I admit I was hard on him last season and at the start of this season after some early drops. I thought the offense wouldn't benefit with him eating up reps and we'd be better off getting young guys reps in his place. He's worked hard though, and Stuckey I think has helped improve his game. If Coan was still here I think we would be in a better spot to get Lenzy the ball more. He's done a better job getting open. His response in the question above was all class, awesome dude.

When I played football, if the RBs fumbled the coaches made us walk around school the next day holding a football to and from every class and the students were tasked with trying to knock it out. I feel like Styles needs to get random footballs thrown at him by the students (kidding). Audric certainly needs to walk around campus with a football though.

I'm sure they put in plenty of work before, during and after practice, it's just not the same as the game. When the lights are shining brightly on Saturday, there's more pressure, and the offense certainly is pressing to make things happen it seems. That's not an excuse, just need to execute when they get their opportunities, the whole offense collectively.
Did you graduate before or after 1993? I wanna know if your coach stole that from the movie "The Program" or if the movie stole it from your coach.

What a great response! There are so many things that can’t be quantified, that can’t be measured that go into making a person successful, or that simply define the limits of our understanding. Notre Dame in my opinion excels at teaching/ allowing individuals to find these truths in themselves. Braden gets “it”! Love thee.

I will say that i do think he has improved with Stucky here and I think Thomas is improving. Work in process. With his positive attitude in that interview I would bring him back. That WR room is gonna need a leader.

Barring a change of heart I don’t think he’s expected back.

But Singer also reported he wasn’t coming back last year

Didn't Prister and O'Malley say he probably isn't coming back in their pod this week?

I hope he comes back and they get a great transfer at QB. He could 1) help mentor the stud freshmen coming in and 2) get some legit tape out there.

It would make more sense to bring back Lenzy than a graduate transfer - unless that player is an all-conference, or accolades and caliber to that extent. Lenzy knows the system, and needs no acclimation like a GT would. He can still be counted on as trustworthy and reliable option in the rotation next year.

I don’t think the staff wanting to bring him back is any question as much as his want to return but that is just my interpretation

Being from Oregon, I wonder how often his family have been able to come to South Bend to watch a game during his career

Right. I don't remember the exact quote, but they suggested he might just be ready to begin his career in finance.
