If I’m totally honest. I could go the rest of my life never having Italian food ever again (aside from pizza) and I don’t think I’d ever crave it or feel I’m missing out
I completely agree. Whenever my wife and kids want Italian of any kind, I gravitate toward a seafood dish on the menu. I don’t really like pasta.

German over French and Italian is a truly terrible take.
The pale-eyed barbarians he descended from think this is fine cuisine:

I know better than to defend the food of my forebears. Fortunately, I'm Roman by baptism.

Italian is way better than Scottish food.... lol I'll def give it that. We were too busy fighting colonialism and creating democracy to worry about how many different ways we could make carbs and smashed tomatoes.

1. Asian (pad thai is king; Americanized chicken dishes; sushi if it's fried and has cream cheese in it)
2. Mexican (literally anything)
3. Italian (mostly anything)
4. Mediterranean (gyros, SKYLINE CHILI, and baklava all day)

search for how is olive garden food prepared and then i dare ya to ever eat there again
reminds me of a story my dad told me and other family members one day over thirty years ago about how a friend of his who worked in a meat packing place told him to never ask what went on in those places because he would never want to eat meat again

It's so bad... I do remember some Italians on this very site (well, just one for certain) talking about how Olive Garden is fantastic tho... very clearly. It was YEARS ago but it stood out.

Anyway, if I get dragged there the only thing I ever trust at all is the salad and bread lol

Whats' funny tho,... Cali made it legal to make Haggis (yes it was apparently illegal for many years) just before I moved away and I had it for the first time at the Long Beach Scottish festival. It was,.... okay?? It honestly tasted like any other British-boiled beef with minimal seasoning I ever had previously. So,... better than I expected but still pretty bad???

Not sure why the food on those God-forsaken islands is so bad.

I have cousins from Scotland I've only met through social media... they see my feed is heavily Mexican food-loving and they will share their versions of it,....................... all I can say is,...... poor bastards.

The seafood looks better than I'd expect though if I'm honest.

My Personal Top 3:
Indian (Both North and South, but Pakistani/Punjabi is probably my favorite)
German (Anyone had Weiss's Gausthaus on 933? I always liked it. Gausthaus Bavarian Hunter in MN is an all timer for me)
Ukrainian (special place in my heart after I got sick in Ukraine, lost 10-15 pounds, and had to eat my way through Holubtsi and Varenyky to get my strength back up)

I’m over here talking with my hands. I can’t believe Italian food is being blasphemed in here. Some of you didn’t have an Italian (Sicilian) grandmother from Brooklyn and it shows.
Calm your Polack ass down.

The soups aren’t bad if you just set your expectations as “expensive Campbell’s”
