I have a feeling he's on pretty thin ice, but I know he was the second highest paid coach in 2019 behind only Nick Saban at over $8.5MM. similar to ND, Stanford doesn't have to reveal the contract details of their coaches, so that's the most recent data I could find.

So, knowing Stanford was under fire for trying to cut almost 1/3 of their varsity sports a couple of years ago due to financial woes, I doubt they'll be looking to pursue an expensive buy out. I'm not sure when Shaw's contract expires, it was surprisingly hard to find out what his contract situation is presently. But he may be "tenured" for now, depending.

They haven't won the Pac 12 since 2015, and he hasn't had a winning season since 2019, unless you count the COVID shortened 2020 when they went 4-2 in conference only play. They're well on their way to another losing season it looks like

Stanford tightened up on allowing fifth years and admissions didn't GAF about early signing day and worked at their own pace which cost them in recruiting. I'm not sure there was a ton of pressure or expectations to win.

IMO, if anything they overspent on Shaw because they were afraid that he would try and leave while they undermined his program's chances for success.

Stanford just became even more one dimensional as top RB E J Smith (Emmitt's son) is OFS with an "undisclosed" injury.

Getting their ass kicked by Oregon.

Shaw is 12 and 22 since 2018. Program has totally collapsed despite being #22 in team talent. No excuse to be this bad.

Really they peaked in 2015 and they were on a slow decline through 2018 when those wheels completely fell off. I feel like he was riding Harbaugh's coattails a bit those first 4 seasons and after that they started to lose the mojo.

It's not like the PAC-12 has gotten more competitive in that time period. USC struggled with just three 10 win seasons in the last decade, Oregon has been kinda meh since 2015 other than one season in '19, Washington stumbled a bit after Petersen retired in 2019. Utah might be the most consistent team in the PAC-12 right now with 9 wins or better almost every year outside of their shortened COVID season.

They said on the broadcast last night they only had one transfer in. I'm not sure if that could be considered an excuse or a reason. Talk about competing with one hand tied behind your back.

No idea is Shaw is OK with making 9.5 million going 5-7 at a top ten academic school.

Watched some of the first half last night. Biggest takeaway was the lack of speed in Stanford’s defense.
Oregon attacked them outside with sweeps and end arounds rarely being touched in the first ten yards. Bo Nix had two runs of over 50 yards. They are literally slower than Bo Nix!

Sounds like lots of Tyree and Diggs outside, then hit them with the Estime late when they're gassed. We don't want to be pounding the ball early in that one.

Weird, I remembering having to.

It was either proof of vaccination or negative test w/n a certain amount of time.

But I doubt they're still doing that unless another spike occurs.
I didn't need either for Cincinnati last year, but I probably scared dozens of people on the way out of the stadium because I was coughing like mad after losing my voice. Managed to evade the 'rona till Christmas Eve Omicron.

We weren't asked last year. I would imagine we would have heard something about this already if they were requiring it this year.

I’ve been this year. No proof of vax or negative test required.

Agreed. I went to three games last year. The first, last and one in between. There was no proof of anything required to attend. Same thing this year.

Watching the Stanford/Oregon St game now and this Stanford DL is very small. The boys should pound away at that group all day. It would be shocking if those guy hold up.

McKee is a talented passer. He's a statue, but he can make a lot of NFL throws. If you let him, he can pick you apart.

Last year, he had a few big drops from his receivers on great play designs against ND. Not saying by any means that Stanford would have won, but McKee is a serious QB. His supporting cast is just below average. If he's on a better team, he's getting more media attention.

Agreed. I’ve seen him as a projected 1st rounder

Can't make the game , have tix available for any decent offer. 4 tix Section 10 Row 35 + parking pass OR 2 tix Section 121, row 5 + parking pass. Will be traveling this week, so would like to complete any deal by Tuesday.
