Since the run that Clemson has been on in recent years the out of state enrollment at Clemson has increased greatly. Considering that out-of-state tuition is ~$38K and in-state tuition is ~$15K, I would say Dabo has done a nice of job of growing the university's coffers beyond just the football program.
Or the administration is leaning into accepting more out of state applicants intentionally to help pay for their new lazy river and other ridiculous things.

Is he actually a good coach?

Master recruiter, tremendous at relating to the kids and marketing his program...

His on-field success will be entirely dependent on his OC/DC/STC if he steps up to FBS.

I think Deion being a head coach at any major. 5 school is going to turn in to a shit show.

However I will say I have seen some articles and he sounds like he is doing a hell of a job with the water crisis and trying to help his players.

I am still wondering where Urban Meyer ends-up? (Wrong answer: Prison).

I presume he will want a program with NIL potential so he can close Top 50 kids.

I doubt ol' Shelley is letting him out of her sight for extended periods of time these days.

He's probably got an ankle monitor that tracks him to-and-from the Big Noon Saturday set lol.

The problem for Shelley and other FBS coaches is the same. Urban is a phenomenal recruiter.

It is frankly hard to imagine Georgia Tech with that level of swag. They've been the most boring, plain vanilla program imaginable for as long as I can remember. But if he could bring in the recruits and make the place exciting (and the administration there goes along with him, and of course if he makes good staff hires), that program has enormous potential. The Miami of Atlanta, if you will.

Can’t see it unless GA Tech has boosters willing to play NIL at least like a Nebraska, Louisville. Don’t see GA Tech as a school with boosters willing to play NIL on that scale.

Georgia Tech apparently also requires nearly every student to take calculus too. It’s hard to imagine Deion being willing to be so hamstrung.

Oddly enough, I saw that Dan Patrick heard from his “inside source” that Meyer’s name has been linked to Nebraska & Arizona St. Putting Urban on campus in Tempe is like putting an alcoholic in an open bar. I’ll link Dan’s segment about Urban below.

I find it hard to believe Nebraska would throw away $7mil for three weeks. Surely this was a negotiated settlement where the bulk of that was negotiated away. "We're going to fire you in 3 weeks, you don't get the $7mil but you have to work during that time knowing you're a lame duck; or you don't get the $7mil and you can take a hike today. Either way, no $7mil." Or maybe they tossed him a small part of it as an early parting gift. Either way, I bet they didn't just eat $7 million to get rid of him three weeks early.

Boosters went to Alberts with a check to fire him into the sun today

That makes no sense unless you have a HUGE Saban or Meyer type guy ready to step in tomorrow. Then you MIGHT justify spending that sort of money to get a 3-week head start, but even then that's probably a poor use of funds. They're supposedly just promoting an assistant to interim for the rest of the season. I just can't come up with a way to justify that buyout instead of waiting three more weeks.

Read NU has Matt Campbell as their primary target
That would be a real good hire. Iwanted him if we went with an established coach. He told Michigan no a couple of years ago and the word was he wanted ND.
