I think he's the perfect height for ND

So, doesn't that beg the question, "Why now?" Most obvious time to make that public was immediately upon receiving the offer. Quite some time has passed.
If Tommy Rees doesnt have a burner to defend himself on here i'd be shocked

I hope you're right, but it could just be him wanting to announce he got an offer from ND. Kind of like putting an ND hat on the table when everyone already knows you're going to.........He would not have announced the offer if he wasn’t interested.
I mean, no offense to any of you but I have started to travel more and Pitt seemed like one of the lamest big cities I’ve ever been to…about to leave Miami tonight, I’d also not give it any solid reviews — unless I was so absolutely flush that I didn’t mind blowing a grand a weekend.Imagine having the choice between Notre Dame and Pitt and actually picking Pitt...

In contrast, I was expecting Pittsburg to be a dump based on everything I'd ever heard about it. But it turns out to be a beautiful city with a lot of cool architecture and some good places to eat.
Decent city of not, it’s Pitt not ND and their coach is a massive tool.![]()

Now do a pic of South Bend...

Reminds me: The only time I ever puked in a football stadium was at Heinz in 2005, visiting my ND roommate who was in grad school at Pitt. Friday night at a Pirates game. Cups all day Saturday under a highway overpass. Sundown brought a blowout win in Charlie Weis' first game as our coach. Magical times. Pittsburgh forever.I’ve been there twice and have had an absolute blast both times. My buddy did grad school there and visited him the weekend of the ‘13 disaster at Heinz, and despite the game result, getting the condensed Pitt college experience kind of blew me away. Their academics are superb, campus is beautiful, and man do they like to party. Sucks they don’t have an on-campus stadium because they could really have something going on in the fall out there
PNC is the most beautiful ball park I’ve ever seen, highly recommend catching a Pirates’ game if you ever get a chance
Pittsburgh is an absolutely terrific city.I mean, no offense to any of you but I have started to travel more and Pitt seemed like one of the lamest big cities I’ve ever been to…about to leave Miami tonight, I’d also not give it any solid reviews — unless I was so absolutely flush that I didn’t mind blowing a grand a weekend.
Camped at ND last summerSo this thread is in 6 pages. Can anyone confirm if Minchey has even an ounce of interest in ND? Lol.
The area across the river from Heinz where we were staying seemed incredibly lackluster. A bus fell into a sinkhole the weekend I was there and the strip that was suggested to us for the day before was more like a shopping center found in the Bahamanian ports. What did I miss?Pittsburgh is an absolutely terrific city.
Only posted offer since being committed to Pitt I thought I read on here.So this thread is in 6 pages. Can anyone confirm if Minchey has even an ounce of interest in ND? Lol.
No info but maybe the offer wasn’t a commitable one until now? That would make the most sense to meMy guess would be if you compare to Novosad’s public comments they waited to get through some basic conversations, presentations etc. Didnt want that playing out publicly for no reason
Minchey may have had little interest in hurrying a visit like Novosad so no need to rush things like the pitchfork crew wants.
I bet he has consulted attorneys about what he can do about IE. IE is definitely interfering w his sleep patterns. I definitely could see Soup Nazi up at 2AM chomping on Built Bars and screaming at IE posts. What are the odds Driskell is on IE just sifting though all of our collective info we post for free and then taking about it and making $$?
Can’t help but notice you didn’t include South Bend on your list… what gives?Ranking the Midwest/Ohio Valley, here’s my personal thoughts. Chicago doesn’t count, as I’d rank it first every time.
Louisville
Pittsburgh
Milwaukee
Cincinnati
Columbus
Detroit
Cleveland

Lmao I’m a Hoosier and didn’t even realize I forgot Indy. I’d probably slide Indy right there with MKE.No love for Indy? smh!
I think you missed a lot. I travelled for work for a decade and Pitt was on of my favorite cities. The downtown area is very cool and Mt Washington has some of the best restaurants in the midwest. I think your tour guide was probably the problem not Pittsburgh. LOLThe area across the river from Heinz where we were staying seemed incredibly lackluster.
