This here. Maybe Book was not a “championship-level QB” but we were vastly better off for having him then had we skipped QB that cycle because we couldn’t land a five-star.

Correct. You have to have a guy that can come in and compete. They might not win a heisman and they might not get drafted but you can't understaff the QB position what so ever.

Loy just dropped a VIP on 23 QB recruiting... Not sure if it's anything that hasn't already been mentioned

Braylon James and Greathouse are both from Austin metro which actually might give us a fighters chance with Novosad who's from 20 miles SW of Austin.

Considering the interest Novosad has received, think its likely he's the best QB outside the 247 top 10.

There’s zero reason he hasn’t committed to A&M yet. Everything about him and his family screams A&M. The fact he hasn’t decommitted from Baylor and flipped to College Station leads me to believe there may be a chance he’ll take a honest look at ND.

I am not Tommy Rees, but put me in the “meh” category on him.

Side note: Dante’s boy toy mentioned that it’s looking like as of today, CJ will remain in the ‘24 class.

I like Minchey better than Novosad. Mobility is the main reason. Minchey isn't Cam Newton or Vince Young, but he moves better than Novosad does.

I liked Novosad. More potential than Angeli. He doesn’t jump off the screen like Arnold, Moore or Vizzina by any means though. I thought I was gonna like JJ Kohl based off his reviews but his film was odd to me. Lot of the highlights were throwing off balance and last second but not in a creative way more in a hurried way, was kinda odd for a HS film. Didn’t get to see much footwork or any understanding of progression or reads. He’s also not agile enough to do that at the next level. Haven’t watched Minchey or Parson yet. Glenn reminded me of Angeli.

Dorman and Lainez both camped for Rees I wonder if we see them as a result.

I named I’m shocked I haven’t heard is Brayden Dorman (Arizona Committ) - weren’t we looking hard into him early in the cycle? Seems like a feasible flip.

Novosad might actually be slower than coan, but he has a stronger arm I think. This type of qb is all about pocket footwork and mental ability to quickly read defenses. I just don’t like not having any athleticism at qb 2 classes in a row. I don’t think nd needs a true dual threat but someone that can at least extend some plays.

No, it was literally wasn't.
They changed the lineup a ton...
True. The timing still helped playing garbage teams in November.

At any rate, Jack Coan was Jack Coan. At this stage of being a recruit, Novosad is probably a better player than Coan was going into his senior year.

I'll take the statue with a strong arm and the ability to make quick reads over the shifty kid with "athleticism" who lacks pocket presence every time. Most of Kelly's top QBs fell into the latter category, and we all know how that worked out.

Wow Minchey has easy velo for his size. He might be my new favorite of the Tier II.

Parson I thought wasn’t quite as easy but has velo for his size too. More mobile threat.

You're right, but Kelly isn't here anymore, and for the purposes of quarterbacking it may end up being a very good thing.

Parsons is very capable of running but from his highlights he wants to throw it more than run.

It’d be intrigued to pull up the actual players to credit this to, but it would seem we jumped 7% from 2021.

McPherson I believe is on scholly which puts the 2022 class at 82% BCR on 22 kids.
