This will not end well
Only if people aren't educated.

Roe reads poorly. Ginsburg even said so. States where abortion is wanted will have it. States where it isn't wanted won't allow it. And other states will find a middle path. The big thing is finally acknowledging that abortion isn't protected by the Constitution and never was.

If the insane things he's said on race over the years is any indication I imagine his record above will make a huge impact,.....................

I don't see anything wrong with allowing the states decide if they want to allow abortion and to what degree.
It's basically what was going on prior to RvW. Women still had a choice then. They just didn't like having to spend a tank of gas traveling to another state to get the abortion.

I actually didn't know that, being born after this decision. I had always just assumed that it was illegal. Didn't Billie Jean King sign a letter with like 100,000 other women, stating that they had abortions that was put in newspapers? I assumed the big deal was that it was illegal and they were showing 'courage'.

Might have. I don’t remember.

The crux of their rallying cry was many were putting their lives at risk because they were getting illegal abortions from questionable sources given it was illegal in their particular state.

TV station showed an informal poll they are conducting. Only around 500 votes so far, but 50% were in favor of overturning, 47% were against with 3% undecided.

Local TV stations (run by corporate media) are always accurate and unbiased in their polling. . . JK

When you hear the drama surrounding this it becomes evident that there are a good number of people who do not understand what is being overturned. This is not making abortion illegal. It is sending it back to the states to decide. In large part because of the unconstitutional nature of Roe v Wade to begin with. Never should have been what it became.

Factor in the idea that most people FEEL the pressure/shaming of "you can't tell a woman what she can do with her body/my body my choice", I am sure there are those who feel one way and answer a poll another. I.E. Trump 2016

If I had a dollar for every girl with an Instagram account who thinks abortion is about to be illegal...I'd be a wealthy man.

I dont expect people to read/understand Supreme Court cases because a lot of the time it is pretty nuanced but this one reads pretty easy and was very clear on it.

I'm guessing it comes down to thinking: Roe = Right to Abortion. Therefore, No Roe = Ban on Abortion. That is absolute reflected in polling.

American polling support for abortion rights plummets after the first trimester. Roe/Casey specifically didn't allow for state abortion laws to reflect that. It seems reasonable to think that a lot of the "support" for Roe/Casey then just comes from misunderstanding.

Anti-insurrection liberals are now directing protestors to the homes of the Supreme Court justices. Democratic Senators making threats outside the court. Glad to be back to normal.

Don’t get upset when we laugh at the virtue signaling
Normal indeed,…
Just like they wouldn’t condemn the “peaceful” destruction of cities across America.
It’s just stunning to me how it doesn’t turn more off because it’s so obviously bs control and manipulation tactics from here. Jan 6th was a freakin embarrassment on every level but the left lionized those who literally bombed the capital and called the Wisconsin capital take over ‘democracy in action’. Their actions and responses are so clearly dictated by ‘what helps us gain power’ and if that means flip flopping standards then Ef if bc we don’t have any anyway. It’s frustrating

I have a real hard time charging a woman with some kind of crime if she miscarries or loses a pregnancy.

But, you know, they're not in the Constitution so whatever.

That is kind of an interesting conversation. For conversation sake can you provide context?

Any Jill Stein voters protesting at the homes of Supreme Court Justices should maybe sit this one out.

Ectopic pregnancies are pretty bad. When they rupture a fallopian tube, women can hemorrage a lot of blood in 3-5 minutes. Within 7-10 they are dead. There are 110,000 per year. They can be found by ultrasound and the only prevention is abortion.

So the "no exceptions" crowd, who also fall into the All Lives Matter crowd on the venn diagram,

It was a typo. Soon to be a punishable crime too I'd suppose.
No I was actually serious. In what context would someone be charged for a miscarriage?

We can talk about your Freudian slip later.

Typos would fall under the disinformation team Biden is getting together.

Context is going to be determined by the states, no? I'm sure none of them are going to go that far, though. Of course not. That's just silly that any of them would possibly do that. Surely.

It wasn't Freudian, it was a typo.
