Really? Care to quote all the times I said CNN's main story was Trump?

A collection of your greatest hits. It's ok to be hellbent on something, like am with thinking anti-vaxxers being the scorn of the earth, yours appears to be CNN being obsessed with Trump.

You know it's getting bad when cnn.com's major headline is about Joe and not Trump.

Biden grapples with a Covid-19 testing failure that could have been foreseen

CNN Staffer John Griffin Charged With Enticing Moms, Daughters Into 'Sexual Activity' (msn.com)

CNN's John Griffin, who was Chris Cuomo's producer, has been arrested by the FBI and charged with three counts related to the sexual abuse of underage girls. Among the incidents were paying a mother to bring her 9-year-old daughter to him where the child then engaged in sexual acts. Lots of lurid acts mostly involving trying to get underage girls to let him train them in sexual subservience. Major creep. That he was a big shot at CNN and Cuomo's producer should shock no one.
No surprise that CNN's main page is focused on Trump and not this. You have to do a search for John Griffin to find the article.

lol..........When you go to cnn.com and everyday there are four or five articles on Trump, you know he's gotten to them.

If you were hell bent that Trump and Russia were in cahoots (Steele dossier was legit), you might want to rethink. Very interesting article on how it was put together and how Hillary and her campaign funded it.

The Steele dossier: A reckoning

https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/18/polit...ing/index.html

Unfortunately the press won't reexamine themselves and how they report.

Just jumped on cnn.com to see what they reported. Oddly enough, after several days on the front page, there is nothing on their front page about the trial. Their primary focus is still Trump. lol
This is hilarious. Inside source in the WH says the losses are because they're taking too long to implement change and need to move quicker. lol

Voters are "unhappy with inaction and nitpicking," source close to White House says

From CNN's Arlette Saenz

A source close to the White House argued the results in last night’s election showed that voters were expressing frustration with the lack of action in Washington and used the Democratic Party’s loss as a call to action on President Biden’s agenda.
“Voters were clear that they were unhappy with inaction and nitpicking,” the source said. “And Democrats widely agree that there is greater impetus to go ahead, faster, with bills that will be economic game-changers for middle class families and ensure the economy delivers for hard-working people in their daily lives, not just those at the top.”
“If voters are frustrated with inaction, the obvious response is to be more decisive and pass bills based on an agenda for the middle class that received a record-breaking 81 million votes last year,” the source added. “And there’s a strong consensus about that across the party. Doing less is plainly the opposite of what people want.”

Biden's trillion dollar infrastructure plan appears in jeopardy and this is the headline on cnn.com

[/B]

Rather than discuss Biden's failings, they keep trying to deflect to Trump. lol

So CNN has really been pushing the Trump undermining the government thing for a while now. Articles on how he's going to ruin the U.S. and how the follow up protest in D.C. was going to require troops, barricades, more Capitol police as it was going to be worse than the previous riot. How many showed up, 200-300?

So true. Made me laugh. Too many people with puckered sphincters that can't see the BS and just roll their eyes.

Found it interesting that for a couple of weeks now, cnn.com has two subjects that have the most articles written about them. They are Trump and COVID. They are scared shitless of Trump. IMO, there is no way he gets elected again.

You worked hard for that, but if you examine them closely, you'll see it was just four times and only two were the main story.

To be fair, CNN knows which side their bread is buttered on. With Trump out of office their viewership has been down substantially. He's been out of office a year and there's still two Trump references on their front page this morning.

I counted 7 instances of a "Trump headline + CNN" in those examples posted over a 3.5 month time frame. Which is right around a bi-weekly headline update. Not as often as SNL but certainly regular scheduled IE programming.

It doesn't matter, just pot/kettle/black and stone/glass houses when you're going to say someone posts the same thing over and over. I did routinely post the same comments towards PL, and he finally addressed them and we are moving on, I'm not offended if you'd like to say my posting variations of the same thing. Just if you're going to be snarky and compare me to a TV character who clearly loses his mind, don't think you're above being in the same bunker punching in 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 every 108 minutes with me.

IMHO, it seems to come down to who is the worst... or not the worst... but not good.

This is not a problem/challenge unique to the U.S.

I hate Trump. I hope he never enters politics again. I don't necessarily hate Biden, but I do have great disdain for those that elected him into power. I believe that Biden has and had (before the election) great gaps in mental competence. I feel bad that the Dem's chose to ride him. Almost the same as I feel the Canadian Liberals decided to ride Justin Trudeau. Trudeau is an incompetent idiot and the only one that doesn't appear to acknowledge this is... Justin Trudeau. I've got a feeling that this is a similar challenge facing the Biden Administration. The difference being, I think Biden does have some legitimate health challenges due to aging.

Not calling you out, but TorontoGold, how do you feel about the Liberal's performance over the past several years?

As an Oil and Gas guy, an investor in technologies and a big supporter of Bio-tech, what do you think of the politics at home?

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Not to derail the thread - I think Biden/Trudeau are very very similar in the sense of being "classic" politician types that seem disingenuous with limited/poor results. I am very much in support of a change in leadership for the LPC. Can't have a guy who was wearing BLACKFACE at age 30 in charge. Just shameless stuff.

Given the options with Scheer/O'Toole (voted Harper each election he ran), I reluctantly voted for Trudeau and haven't seen any noticeable improvements from him. Societally Trudeau has done basically nil, and financially? Meh mostly a pig with lipstick on it.

From my experience with mostly financial services clients, the federal government is less involved in the day to day then provincial governments.

Sincerely appreciate your comments. You should spend some time in Alberta or Saskatchewan or the Maritimes (see bold). The Federal government is a disaster. Unpopular opinion... Harper was great. Flaherty and Martin (OMG) have been responsible Finance Ministers.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Yes, but I hope that doesn't bring him back in 24. I'm ready to make America like the free state of Florida.

The problem is most of the other Republicans are weak and soft. Not many can take what Trump did and still be able to function. I think DeSantis' future likely depends on his wife's health. Don't see him running if his wife's cancer is not in remission.

I think there's a lot of people who are willing to give the Rs a try after the approach of the blue team with the economy and covid. Trump scares them away. I want to win.

Trump's doing his darnedest to stay in the political spotlight, but I just can't see him getting the nomination again.

I wonder if he tries to stay relevant to promote his own platforms and brand, but doesn't run again. He'll try to be the kingmaker and we can watch the party dance around it. Youngkin played the card well, but there is a chunk of the GOP base that is struggling to move on.

Agree. Hard to imagine why they don't. Trump helping build their campaign funds?

I just realized today we celebrate 2 birthdays as national holidays. Martin Luther King Jr and Jesus. Not throwing any sort of shade on MLK but are the two biggest American hero’s really MLK and Jesus?

Damn Joe. You ever read any history books?

I'll give Joe credit. He's as entertaining as Trump was.

Trump would spend 90 minutes entertaining journos. Biden does one presser a year. Biden avoids questions and comments often because whoever he reports to tells him too. Also, Trump's live takes, though sometimes cringe, were often hilarious. No comparison.

SNL Weekend Update was pretty good this past weekend. Went after both sides. Best line...."Biden's approval rating is so low, he went into power save mode".

I only saw the SNL cold open online. It was a Biden press conference where he blamed poor COVID numbers on everyone seeing Spiderman. It was a bit funny at first, but they kept hammering it home throughout the sketch over, and over, and over, and over...got old.

Plus, the idea of a Biden press conference. I think he's done more pressers on SNL than in real-life.

Biden's annual presser is a real hum-dinger. No apologies for his disastrous surrender from Afghanistan said despite record covid deaths, division, inflation, and stalled legislation that he has outperformed. He also managed to imply a lack of legitimacy in the upcoming election, something that used to be controversial. He also only called upon a pre-approved list of reporters, none of which pushed back on obvious lies like covid vaccinations prior to his inauguration and his bizarre comments on Ukraine. #AmericaIsBack

It's like he picked up the Trump Presidential Playbook  Lack of legitimacy in the upcoming election? We were told the last election was the most secure in the history of the universe. This from the party that rigged the previous primary for Hillary.

Looking forward to a minor invasion of Ukraine...

Putin has already started a cyber campaign in Ukraine with misinformation to get the Ukrainian people to protest and revolt. Then he can invade and claim he's saving them.
