Watched Wild Things from 1998. Hadn't seen it before. Pretty good cast and the story line had a whole of of twist and turns. I can see why Charlie Sheen liked Denise Richards!

The Power of the Dog. Finished it the other day and still trying to figure out what I watched. Plot was all over the place with no direction. Anyone else watch and say WTH?

Started it. Then stopped. Doubtful I'll ever finish it.

Great cast and cinematography, but could tell where it was going...and doing so at a snail's pace and not in an entertaining manner.

Maybe the book is good though?

I watched it over several days hoping it would finally take off and it never did. Too many scenes that didn't have any purpose IMO.

I like it, but the wife didn't care for it so I haven't seen S2.

My marriage has moved past the point where we have to watch things together. I think it comes with middle age. This show, however, we've been watching together but I initiated the start of the first season.

Almost done with S3. Two more episodes left. Third season might be the best yet. Tony Shalhoub and Kevin Pollack are hilarious.

It's really really good. Season 4 coming in February.

Witcher Season 2 was very good.

Gonna get through Yellowstone first. I assume it’s more linear than the first season??

Yellowstone is good but too over the top at times and a couple characters just drive you bat shot with how dumb either their characters are or how dumb their development is

Some of that improves as the series goes along. Not all, but it gets better. I agree that character development could be better. Some of the characters are cartoonishly over the top. Still, a good show and one of my favorites.

Has anyone watched the Yellowstone prequel 1883? Sunday night was the premier and they dropped two episodes. It's about John Dutton's ancestors 5 or 6 generations back in the late 1800's and how they got to Montana and started ranching. Great cast and some really cool, though brief, cameos from Tom Hanks and Billy Bob Thornton so far. Major violence as expected. So far, it's very good.

I was pumped to watch it when I first heard about it. Then I found out out Hair Plugs McGraw and his wife are the stars.

Sadly, the show may be a pass now.

I've never been a big fan of either... mostly just neutral towards them both, but they do a pretty good job in this so far.

Had to look it up to figure out who you were talking about. I don't think I've ever seen him act. I see Sam Elliot is in it. He has a great voice, but I have always thought he was a mediocre actor at best. I do like Yellowstone, so I'll check it out.

I just watched 8-Bit Christmas on HBO. For any of you 40 something gamers... it's your new Christmas standard.

I loved it.

"WWII in Color" on Netflix. Damn good footage and quite a few behind the scene stories I hadn't heard before.

Watched "Don't Look Up" (Netflix) last night. Thought it was pretty good. Satirical comedy on politics and the media while the planet is about to get wiped out. Solid cast with DeCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jonah Hill.

The Matrix: Resurrections certainly was not subtle!

The whole movie was basically a 'F*ck You' from Lana Wachowski to the bros who stole the 'red pill' narrative, as well as Warner Bros and the entertainment industry in general...

It shat all over the ideas of reboots and sequels, purposely made some ridiculous changes to this new 'loop' in the Matrix for the lulz, generally told the audience 'you don't know what you really want from a new Matrix movie,' outlined that the Matrix is really just an epic love story, and then (again) beat everyone over the head with its symbolism about growth and change through resurrection/rebirth/renewal... and did it all while still turning in a pretty decent action movie.

Nowhere near as good as the original, but the original Matrix film was an EXPERIENCE. Maybe the most impactful first viewing I've ever had of a movie? Just crazy entertainment, mind-blowing story that's complex but not TOO complex (that didn't happen until the sequels), amazing goosebumps moments, great cast, etc. etc.

This was a good, entertaining movie that does a better job of holding up that I would have expected, honestly... but Wachowski would probably tell you that the comparison of this one to the original not being apples-to-apples, and not being that important at all, is kind of the point.

My wife made me watch two seasons of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch with her. I'm 20 IQ points dumber for the experience. It's the TV version of click bait... just endless repetition of the same drivel with unfulfilled promise after promise to reveal the source of the mysteries or all the answers in the next scene. It's Unsolved Mysteries for the lobotomized. I've had proctology exams that were more fun. It would insult the intelligence of the cast of Jersey Shore. It's sex with Whoopi Goldberg while watching Hillary Clinton and Rosie O'Donnell lesbian jello wrestling porn bad. My usually intelligent wife thought it was fascinating and thought provoking, then got mad when I pointed out all the nonsensical bs, the phony tricks, the pseudo-science baloney, and all the flat out lies told to draw the viewer in. Honestly, it was maybe the worst thing I've ever seen on TV, and that's saying a lot.

Lol my wife got roped in season 1. after 1.5 episodes I said nope she stuck the season out and I asked at the end of they found anything or if she believed it and said she didn't want to talk about it. Safe to say she wasn't a season 2 watcher.

I wouldn't go quite as far as you, but I watched the first three episodes a while back and stopped. It's like the Curse of Oak Island where finding a rusty nail is a huge discovery and every episode they are going to find the treasure.

Lmao I swear I'm not a bully in life... but I gave my wife shit in a relentlessly progressive fashion the longer she stuck with that show.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes with her out of curiosity, thinking they *might* actually be on to something... but then it became clear it was just some dudes with money willing to keep digging up dirt and drilling wells for the sake of the TV network.

Every episode... "Is THIS the location of the legendary money pit???"

No, but they DID find a scrap of wood in a core sample that doesn't match the type of wood that should be in that location! It means the Templars left treasure chests made of wood there! Now we just need to find out why they moved them from this theoretical location to a DIFFERENT theoretical location, and then we need to get more heavy equipment in to drill a deep core sample at THAT location.

It got to the point where I could walk through the room while she was watching, and I could tell her what the narrator was going to say after the next commercial break was over.

lol at least in over the course of whole seasons on Oak Island you have physical proof that something strange and unique did happen there. They certainly have found a way to drag very little new information and repititive searcher tasks into multiple seasons and episodes though. We typically either fast forward through alot of the fluff or fall asleep in our chairs while watching. Skinwalker Ranch is just bad bad.

We have a good laugh every time they cut scene and go to the illustrations and the narrator tries to make the smallest smallest thing sound like its been the key to all their misfortunes.

A grey round stone in the corner of the island?

Could it be similar to other grey round stones found elsewhere on Oak Island?

Or what about the grey round stones found in Europe during the Crusades of 1650?

We watched Disney's Jungle Cruise last night. It was corny as expected but some of the movie was better than I thought.

Jim Gaffigan Comedy Monster on Netflix. Not his best work ever. had some poor transitions, covid jokes im sure hit or miss/fall flat as everyones heard or seen a meme at this point. He did have some good zings about marching band that are topical for ND's bowl game that I think were pretty spot on. Overall he makes you laugh and thats the point.

Just watched the new season of Cobra Kai. It’s still a very fun show that doesn’t take itself too seriously while still having some compelling characters. And of course karate.
