He probably made one of the funniest/dumbest plays I’ve seen in a while. Converts a 1st down with 30 seconds left and no timeouts but celebrates the catch and then proceeds to yell at his lineman for taking the ball from him. Love that he’s an ND guy, but something just seems so unlikeable about him.

I'm a huge Steeler fan, and I can confirm....Everyone and I mean EVERYONE.....hates Claypool.

Claypool has done less this year because of his QB. If they had a QB that was at least middle of the pack, they'd be killing it. Claypool is a star receiver, he needs to cut the shit and get to work. He can be a superstar but he needs to stop the self-promotion, his game can do the talking.

I will never get that image out of my head.

The clock is ticking below :30 during a furious 4th quarter rally, and he just made a great play... and then does the slowest, most deliberate first-down signal from one knee that you could imagine.

If Key and Peele did a Hingle McCringleberry skit where he ruins a comeback attempt with an overly-involved hip-thrust celebration... it wouldn't be as funny or as ridiculous as what Claypool did lol.

I don't think he came to ND to play school.

Can confirm, dude arrived at ND thinking he'd only be staying for three years no matter what... he only stayed in '19 because he saw how Boykin blew up directly ahead of him in '18.

Not being a close observer of NFL roster moves, is this like going on the 15-day DL? Or being out for the season?

More of the equivalent of the 15-day DL; since this is the offseason he can even be activated in training camp, per something I just read. However if it lingers into the season I think it's a minimum of 6 weeks.

This is typically a procedural thing, one way or the other. If he has an existing injury, or is coming off of a surgery, and the team doesn't know if he will be healthy enough to start the regular season, the only way that Claypool could be put on regular season PUP is if he was PUP going into camp. Other times, players are put on PUP for the start of camp so they get an extra roster spot (players on PUP do not count against the active roster).

Teams will also put players on camp PUP if they fail the conditioning test, or have failed a physical (with the idea that they will pass soon enough). It doesn't seem to be anything serious with Claypool, but he has a lot to prove this year.

He really turned into a douche after leaving ND. Maybe he just hid it well.
Can anyone explain why he is a douche? I don’t follow nfl closely . I don’t doubt it. He had real maturity problems at nd: thought he turned it around senior year
