NFL head coach compensation is as tough to nail down as what ND pays, but there is certainly reason to assume that $10M a year would be an increase for a few really good coaches. Carroll is on the high end, but I am sure there are a few other coaches who are paid a fair bit less than what Riley got from USC.

What a week.

When asked about the ND job, Fickell said he wouldn't leave until the season is over if offered. With no other rumors flying around I suspect he's not been contacted by anyone else where he might have interest.

He's an insufferable ass. Coached here under Davie from 99-01 and was a Meyer lieutenant at Florida.

He was just fired and is unavailable. I understand the appeal.
