Think it's a good move for Riley. Going to be easier for him to win in the SEC at LSU than it will be at Oklahoma. Oklahoma is dead on arrival.

The biggest personnel question that happens if Lincoln leaves is what Bedenbaugh does. If they promote Simmons you could give Bedenbaugh the sole OC title (and pay) if you’re OU and likely keep him. Lincoln would likely try to bring him to LSU with same title he currently has Co-OC and a pay raise. An outside HC and outside OC hired by OU likely would push Bedenbaugh to Baton Rouge and isn’t Bedenbaugh potentially the real key cog?

If the SEC doesn't go with the pods, having Oklahoma and LSU in the same SEC West will be extra spicy with this drama.

Dykes going crosstown from SMU to TCU, will be replaced by UM OC Lashlee. Wonder if Miami on the verge of making a HC change.
Would Holtz replace Napier at ULa, or does he have other plans? Says he's not done, I'm not sure he could "move up" with his resume.
And haven't seen anything mentioned, but has Mack Brown run out of gas at UNC? Seem to be underachieving, and NCST and WF are better in state.

Based off some of the language the OU 247 guys had, I’d expect extension or some sort of money commitment to something coming. My read sounded like OU had to come over a 11th hour big time offer from LSU

I didn't want to see OU immediately become a lesser program than LSU, so this is good imo. Still would like to see LSU get a great hire to cause some chaos in the SEC West soon to be SEC Pod 2

iirc correctly Herman was a pretty good OC at Ohio State right? Although it's pretty easy to look competent in that role.

he's been a good OC everywhere he's been. he was the OC at osu when they beat bama with cardale jones at qb.

He was credited with reforming OSU’s offense away from Urban’s old speed option and retooling the running game.
