Did anyone see Botelho play today? I don’t think I saw him out there at all.

Since BK likes to steak other coaches material, he needs to quote Mike Leach in the post game:

“Our offensive line has to be tougher people ... That will be addressed tomorrow. It will be an experience they won’t forget. They’ll be talking about it when they’re my age.”

I cannot believe some of your takes. I think I'm going to stay away from now on. Who thought we were winning the NC this year? Who thought we were going to be Alabama this year? The Defense has been very good today. The offense has struggled today bc of the OL. It's ok to be critical but my god some of you are just unbearable. I'm as intense and critical as anyone during the game, but some of you sound like you arent even ND fans.

I hope none of our kids read this board.
You are all a bunch of whiny bitch cucks.

Our staff is probably afraid of players detailing meanie moments in their journals.

Walking back to the parking lot after the game, I saw “the drum” loaded up in the back of a white pickup truck with some band members cruising around with it. They brought it anyway like OJ in the white bronco. Pretty damn funny.

Yep I saw the same thing, they had a police escort leading them through the crowd with a bunch of band dorks protecting it lol

Thought the D played really well today. They seem to be moving in the right direction.

Coan is giving our guys a chance to battle it out snd put the ball downfield. Isn’t this what we’ve been looking for? Plus he’s a lawn guyland lax bro from the next town. Just give him the damn Heisman.

Bertrand is going to have 20 tackles against Wisky. Kid is playing fast and downhill. Made some great open field tackles today.

Kiser had fantastic coverage on Hamilton’s pick in the end zone.

Kyren is a game breaker. Love that kid. Tyree almost broke that swing pass.

I think the O line is getting better. There’s talent there, hopefully it starts to gel.
I feel better after today than the last two weeks.

Being there live I thought the crowd was good, pretty good energy loud on 3rd and 4th down. Definitely different than the morgue it looked like vs Toledo.

D was much better today. If Freeman would dial back the blitzes some I’m not sure Purdue scores what they did.

O line played much better and more physical today. Tosh Baker held up pretty well IMO.

Coan was solid. missed on a couple of throws, but the receivers didn’t help.

Williams is a stud and Tyree is coming on strong.

Kyle Hamilton is special. Made so many plays today and he just always seems to be around the football...which is what he's been doing since the day he stepped on campus. Not sure who the last top 5 pick the Irish have had on the defensive side of the ball, but this kid is living up to the hype!

Offensive line struggled at times, but Purdue has a solid defensive front and I think they did okay considering the matchup. Tosh had a bad first half and several penalties, but he rebounded and played a much better second half.

Clarence Lewis and Cam Hart played well. Lewis could very well turn into a shut-down corner and Cam is really physical. The receiver pushed off Cam on that play where they said he PI'd him. I liked that no call. Houston Griffith may be the most disappointing player on the roster. He takes awful angles and also misses way too many tackles. I think Tariq Bracy has regressed too from where he was a few years ago.

Loved the LB play. Bertrand is a tackling machine. In fact, team tackling overall was WAY improved today vs the first 2 games. I also though Drew White and Jack Kiser played well. I really miss Jeremiah's athleticism, but these LB play hard and hit harder! Purdue ran for 57 yards on 25 carries (2.3 npc)...but if you take away that one 31 yard run, they ran for about a yard per carry.

Lenzy's drop is inexcusable. Austin getting as many targets as he had (and dropping multiple catchable balls) is inexcusable. Thank God for Avery Davis played the best game of his career and made up for the other WR's sloppy play. I'm ready to see Styles and Colzie now. Purdue had a gameplay to make sure Mayer didn't beat them and make our WR beat them. With how poor our WR play was, expect every one of our future opponents to two the same.

Overall, this is a good Purdue team and ND led all the way, so there is a lot to be happy about. Bring on Wiscy!!!

Forgot to mention, I lost a little confidence in Doerer today. Shanked the long FG attempt and came unbelievably close to missing on a short one. He's been solid in his career, so I'll give him a mulligan today...but we're gonna need him to kick well to win these upcoming games.

Didn't something weird go on at the LOS? Seemed like he thought he had a freebie.

It was good most of the time, agreed. Weather was perfect. Good energy, but a few times folks sat on their hands.

I laughed as the students got a good wave going, but it died in the old people section...lol

I am the guy that was sitting in front of you with my mom, great meeting you! Totally agree, 3rd and 4th downs were good most of the time, but I felt like it was only you and me yelling and clapping on 1st and 2nd.

Sorry boys, this isn't a Top 20 team right now. OL is garbage and Coan, which isn't all his fault because the front 5 are awful is a friggin' statue in the pocket. Play Tyler, move the pocket. 3 weeks in and teams are just pinning their ears back and laying the wood.

The crowd wasn't full but we were loud on third and fourth downs last week. It's nice to hear that. Sounded really loud on TV Yesterday, too.

Maybe the blue hairs are already packing it in for the season with the way we played against FSU and Toledo, expecting a bad season. That's what happened against Utah in the 2010 upset, never saw so many fresh faces in the gold seats.

nbc coverage keeps getting worse-4 hours of commercials wrapped with some football-first time i ever heard Tirico sort of pulling for other team-Breeze had gracious and respected remarks about Notre Dame at end of game-classy- Williams is an all America football player and if he keeps it up a Heisman candidate-o line will get better the talent is there they just need time-what a well coached disciplined football team-I get great pleasure watching this team and its extension of the university-too many and too long commercial time-could we please see a little more of the aura of a game at Notre Dame-d grade for sure-it sucks.

Lol. Without those commercials Notre Dame football wouldn’t be on NBC. NBC wouldn’t be able to afford the rights to air ND football games and pay the announcers. And is fans may be stuck having to pay a monthly subscription to Peacock to stream the damn games. Lol

Disagree w/ the bolded. I’d bet even money that Purdue doesn’t finish w/ a winning record.

I have a question about lenzys dropped TD he lost in the sun. I believe lenzy wears a face shield on his helmet, does anyone know why they don't let players were the dark face shields anymore? would really help with the sun plus they look really cool.

They're illegal in the NCAA and most (all?) high school leagues in case trainers need to see an injured player's eyes (to check for concussion) without removing the helmet (in case of a spinal injury).
