I made an error in my vote……meant to hit ND by 7 - 13, my tech wizardry let me down!

With Botelho's return, this feels like the week that our defense gets back on track. OL still struggles, but they play well enough for us to not just win but to cover.

So I was at the grocery store last week contemplating my role in the universe... I'm buying my cucumbers and kumquats when I hear this guy. There's this guy talking about his favorite cocktail. You know what he said it was?? "A Boilermaker,.." he says,... "Any real man likes a Boilermaker!" Anyway,... being a man of high class I correct him that a much preferable drink is a cape cod because of the cranberry. So this stern Quebecois gentleman he tells me that he attended this place called Purdue and thus he only drinks Boilermakers!!... Purdue,... you ever hear of this place?? No?? Apparently it's this University of Science type place and they have a football team... I never knew this. I learned that Purdue's mascot is apparently a freakin train,... a train!! We all know what trains do... So Someone better guard the leprechaun on the sideline this weekend before he gets Andy Richter'ed on live television... get it? cucumbers and kumquats...

RIP Norm.

I think ND gets it together this week and covers easily in a 31-14 type game.

I feel a blowout coming from ND this week. The team will treat Purdue much more seriously than they would otherwise have done and will pull no punches, schematically. ND badly wants to win convincingly. For once I think this game is more important to ND than it is to Purdue.

Also, I boldly predict we see a shovel pass on Saturday.

I sense a stress-inducing shootout. Purdue has some weapons, and even with some reinforcements on the way for the defense and another week to check the film and figure out how to avoid blown assignments, I think they're gonna score some points.

The good news is that their pass defense is abysmal, so Coan (and maybe Buchner?) should have some chances to throw downfield to Austin, Lenzy and Mayer, or to check down to Kyren and Tyree with plenty of green grass around them.

I'm feeling a 42-38 type thriller.

Honestly, one firm prediction I am confident in... there will be multiple posts complaining about Brees' on air partisanship no matter what the outcome is....

Since my predictions of 20 point victories came true the first two weeks, I am obviously sticking with it this week.

LOL, Purdue’s mascot is Purdue Pete, who is a Boilermaker that consistently skipped leg day.

Looking forward to Hinish playing better.
5th year guy.
He should be finishing tackles and not allowing anything up the middle.

It would only be appropriate if this game is determined in the last 30 seconds and by less than a TD. I'm betting the under at 58.

We all know the problems this team has. This is the best team we have played so far. I see another 5-6 sack performance. 38-34 Purdue. I think we can’t match their intensity level and it cost us late.

Still think that now that they can't bring their drum?

I think if it gets to looking like last week with sacks they will get TB in there and then that's all she wrote.

I am still baffled we did not offer Gerogie Karliftis and Bell.

I thought we did offer Karliftis? There was some interest in Bell as well, but I think his academics weren't there, so no offer.

Either The line wakes up and we win big or we finally fall off that tight rope we've been walking on and it cost us.

I would think this would help Purdue. Not only do they see a chance to win but now they are pissed off. They will be here to make a statement.

I hope I am wrong and the Irish are prepared and win by 21 but until I see the improvement on the field I think we are gonna be in trouble.

Purdue is going to have to sling it around the field which plays into our hands as we reverse the TO count once again. The offensive line continues to pass block well and gets slightly more push in the run game as Buchner sees a bit more time.
