I was curious what Jaylon Smith, JOK, and Sneeds height and wingspans were next to each other. My instinct said Smith > Sneed > JOK
JOK: 6’1 | 78 1/8”
Smith: 6’2 | 78 2/8”
Sneed: 6’1 - 6’2 | ??? (not going to take HS camp measurements same as combine)
Kollie is also listed at 6’2
Smith’s whole frame when you put it together can pack on so much more weight than JOK but I feel Sneed can fall somewhere in the middle. Burnham to me is still best of the 4 but Sneed if used correctly can be an absolute weapon in a whole different way
Thought it was interesting on the ISD Podcast Matt Freeman said that the reason Clemson didn't go after Sneed is because, "Venables didn't see his size as a fit for his system."
1) I'm getting Diaco/BVG flashbacks (although clearly Venables has earned his say)
2) You think after he watched little ole JOK last year he'd be a little more flexible...lol
Not like we, or any coach, doesn’t do the same thing. The Indiana DL kids from this cycle come to mind, Elston likes, in general, longer DL. That doesn’t mean he will never go outside of it or I’m sure that Venables never recruits kids like Sneed but if you prefer others and have a good shot at others, sometimes you pass
