Jamie U posted that Kollie, Burnham, and Sneed are the 3 highest rated LB commits since he started grading prospects for ISD in 2017.

Brilliant.
Well done Freeman and everyone else involved.
Hopefully he ends up a 5 star and then a Butkis.

ND and Penn St now both at 18 commits. We're a hair better with 12 4 stars and 6 3's, they're at 10 and 8.

Probably still have to give them the lead if we think they have the better QB by a big enough margin.

Woohoo! So stoked about Sneed! Love the number 12 decision date--lead the way, young man!

I was curious what Jaylon Smith, JOK, and Sneeds height and wingspans were next to each other. My instinct said Smith > Sneed > JOK

JOK: 6’1 | 78 1/8”
Smith: 6’2 | 78 2/8”
Sneed: 6’2 | 76 (not going to take HS camp measurements same as combine)

Kollie is also listed at 6’2

Smith’s whole frame when you put it together can pack on so much more weight than JOK but I feel Sneed can fall somewhere in the middle. Burnham to me is still best of the 4 but Sneed if used correctly can be an absolute weapon in a whole different way

EDIT: Somehow completely missed the wingspan part of the Sneed measurements

Thrilled to have Sneed but I can not wait to see Burnham play.

Thought it was interesting on the ISD Podcast Matt Freeman said that the reason Clemson didn't go after Sneed is because, "Venables didn't see his size as a fit for his system."

1) I'm getting Diaco/BVG flashbacks (although clearly Venables has earned his say)
2) You think after he watched little ole JOK last year he'd be a little more flexible...lol

Not like we, or any coach, doesn’t do the same thing. The Indiana DL kids from this cycle come to mind, Elston likes, in general, longer DL. That doesn’t mean he will never go outside of it or I’m sure that Venables never recruits kids like Sneed but if you prefer others and have a good shot at others, sometimes you pass

The scuttlebutt on r/cfb was that Scar and Clemson don't go after Hilton Head kids because their coach actively steers them to go out of state. Not sure if that's true, but the high school coach did seem to be actively involved in Sneed's recruitment so it wouldn't shock me.

Fair point, but it seems strange for Venables to say this when Clemson's linebacking corps last year were all 5-10 to 6-2 guys weighing in around 215-230 lbs, other than Skalski who was their Mike thumper. Maybe he doesn't see Sneed as someone who can add anymore weight, but Sneed wouldn't exactly be a huge outlier.
