CB? The duo they have right now is pretty damn good. CB shouldn't be a concern right now at all.

Add in Ovie O and Justin A who are both still pretty young. Along with the other two young guns in Nana and Rylie Mills...that’s not bad at all. I know you all disagree with me and will yell at me, but I still see osita ekwonu ending up at wde (viper) and becoming a pass rushing stud.

But I have to disagree with you completely on Coogan. He is severely underrated by the sites. It’s criminal. The kid could basically choose any school in the country he wanted. LSU, Michigan, OSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, TAMU, Stamford to name a few. You don’t get an offer and be recruited hard by LSU if you are from Illinois unless you can play!

If there were camps this spring and summer and Coogan was able to participate I have no doubt he would be a 4 star by now. He could have a rise similar to Kyle Hamilton, not to Hamilton’s extent but a similar rise.

Don’t base everything on recruiting sites rankings, take a look at the offer list and who is actively recruiting these kids. I’ll say it once again the recruiting sites have criminally underrated Coogan.

I'm on board 100% with the offers vs rankings. I don't pay attention to rankings at all. Coogan...I hope you're right.

Yesterday Willie Allen announced he was going to GT to Michigan. He's listed at 6-6/345. When he was Alt's age, he was listed at 6-7/245.

Someday we'll look back at a 315+ Alt and laugh at the people who were worried he'd never develop into a starter.

(or laugh at this post if he doesn't. . .)

Of note, they said that he's up to 6'8. Even if that's a little generous it means he probably won't show up on campus below 6'6.

Good point. That's a healthy freshman year and offseasons away from playing weight. 247's profile of Big Mike had him at 275 as a Senior.

Nice to see 247 bullish on one of the recruits.

Alt is the only composite 3 star they have as a 4 star.

Berrong, Thomas, and Abiara are composite 4 stars but 247 has them at 3stars 88, 87, and 89 respectively.

First off, thanks for posting that. I hadn't seen the 2020 edition. Best 6 minutes of programming I'll watch this year. The guy is the Ken Burns of Flow.
