Will Fuller had 3 catches, or some low number, his freshman year. I don't think 1 person other than his own mom thought he would be able go to replace the production that TJ Jones age Daniels had the year before. Someone will step up this year. It might be one of the freshmen. And I think we have more talent this year then what we thought we had in 2014.

I'm going to leave this alone.

Welcome Mr. Young. Wise decision to ignore the glitz that is Oregon and look at the entire picture.

I'm not one to bring up or complain about stars .... BUT THREE STARS ?????

I just watched his video, and while I'm no scout by any means , but DAMNNNN this kid looks good !! He's got speed to burn, cuts very well with the ball, and as others have referenced , he blocks like a BEAST!

LOVE THIS KID!

BK and Co. have already shown they can evaluate talent and are not concerned about stars. While the recruiting services do their homework when rating a kid, they have shown they can miss on a regular basis.

I agree. Simply because we don't have a Fuller returning doesn't mean we don't have the replacements. Fuller, Breezy, etc. just had enough talent to keep the younger kids on the bench. I have a feeling Hunter is going to shine this year. He had a solid year with some crazy good catches.

Please stop the will fuller comparison to every wide receiver we get. It's becoming the Percy harvin effect at Florida/Osu

Fuller had "just" enough talent to keep the young guys on the bench? I mean he was a first round NFL Draft pick.

I can agree with Chris Brown, but I think you're underestimating how good of a college player Fuller was.

Do you guys not put as much stock into this commitment since he has publicly stated that he is taking visits in the fall? I hope he sticks -- seems like a dynamic player.

Is it still his plan to take visits post-commitment?

Has it been mentioned at all in any of his commitment interviews?

Considering the coaches are telling a ton of recruits they'll either use them like A) Fulller or B) Prosise can't really blame fans for doing the same thing

I just had to interrupt with this. Again, Michael Young :

The newest Notre Dame commit also realizes there is more than just success on the football field that awaits him at Notre Dame and has full trust in the coaching staff to help him go down the correct path.

“Another thing that stood out to me was how genuine the coaching staff was,” stated Young. “I didn’t expect it at all. You go on visits and they talk about my life and how are things back at home or how school is going. Then they sell their pitch about their football program.

“The coaches at Notre Dame didn’t do that. It was more about life and what Notre Dame could do for me after football. They want me to experience Notre Dame and get the full experience. They don’t want me to come there just for football. Football doesn’t guarantee you anything in college.”

Genuine is as genuine does. ~ Forest Gump.

Come on guys. This kid has the intelligence, imagination, perseverance, discrimination, drive, ability, and oh yeah, he loves to lay the wood on those helpless defensive backs!

Did you watch his tape?

The kid would be running in open field on some of his routes! Was it his moves? Maybe, a bit. Was it his speed? , just a bit. Was it his attitude replete with bad intent, and his uncanny ability to lay on the wood? Indubitably!

An assassin like this kid on any special team is solid gold. You can't find a better attitude than this for a special team superstar in the making!

And with the offense. This guy has a pretty complete skill set for a high school sophomore and junior. And with a top rate offensive line, a bunch of big bodied receivers and some great blocking tight ends, some of the speed merchants ND is grooming in the offensive backfield may just be able to flip the switch and be gone without being touched!

Keep Calvin on speed dial not to sure about this one

You should say, "I have no official reason to believe this BUT...". Unless you do have a reason and you're not sharing.

To be fair, I have the same irrational fear about the possibility he doesn't make it to SB but I wasn't gonna be the one to throw it out there outta the blue.

Visited at the end of April. Had this to say on day of his commitment about Oregon:
In talking to former players and doing my research, I’m not going to lie, originally, I was thinking about going to Oregon. I thought that was the place to be. I was really pushing that way. Then I started having more conversations with players and taking into account other factors and I just realized that it wasn’t the place for me.

Kirk Merritt's transfer from Oregon had a big effect IMO.

I thought that quote about Oregon was a little fishy also, not going to lie. That does make it sound like he's still torn but ND is the right choice for him at the moment. Who knows though. You guys freak out over the littlest things, lol.

I thought just the opposite. The more he thought about UO, the less he had interest. I don't see any reason to be worried.

Yo man. I think maybe some dyslexia crept in here or something, so allow me to try to clarify for the guy. He didn't say they "had just enough talent," he said they "just had enough talent." Subtle but important difference. One means they barely had enough talent to keep the young guys on the bench, the other means they simply were too good for the kids to get a chance to play.
