QB is John O'Korn who is a transfer from Houston. He was AAC Frosh of the year in 2013 and was quite good. Then lost his job in 2014. Rudock wasn't exactly a good QB and Harbaugh turned him (and every other QB he's ever worked with) into a good one by the middle of the year. He's pretty talented and should win the job. Either way the QB play should be on par to what it was last year.

Harbaugh is IMO a top-3 coach in the country and they're in year 2 of his system. They don't have to go to Utah to open the season this year (OOC schedule is a joke) and it's a pretty easy B1G schedule for them. I would guess they go 10-2, but 11-1 wouldn't surprise me. Not sure why people would doubt Harbaugh. All the guy does is win.

Speight is looking like he is going to be the starter.

Also their new DC is the Boston College DC who just about shut down everyone last year.

Curious how you feel about ND's season? How exactly was it different than what Michigan did? Were we frauds, too?

Our schedule was far tougher. Our three losses were to 3 of the top 5 teams in the country last season. Two of them, were by 4 points total. The Ohio State loss was kind of bad, but nothing compared to the way they curbstomped scUM in their own house. Despite a laughable amount of injuries, we were way more competitive with Ohio State than Michigan was.

I think people really started to jump on the scUM bandwagon after they ran over Florida. But let's be honest. Florida was a shell of its former self since they lost Willie Greer. They had absolutely no offense whatsoever and their defense started showing it's weaknesses against Florida State and Alabama. That being, with no offensive support, they eventually break down. Kinda wish we had that kind of fortune, playing a team that bad to boost momentum. But nope, we get arguably the best team in the country.

But I do think Harblow has scUM on the right track, and unfortunately, their schedule this year might be even easier than last season. They could finish 10-2 with no signature victories and land in a NY6 bowl, where, knowing their luck, they play a team who doesn't belong there and they beat them soundly. Just our luck.

I'm not sure Florida State is a legit top 25 team.

They return like 19 starters and have been recruiting as well as anyone outside of Bama and OSU the past 3 years, and have a proven HC. They're going to roll this year IMO.

The following gives me enough reason to give zero fvks about FSU's place...

Tennessee at #8
Ole Miss at #10
Georgia at #17
Texas A&M at #25

Let me live in my fantasy world damnit. I didn't know they were bringing that much back. Last year they were pretty soft I thought. Hope that continues. I'll edit my statement....

Gotcha. They claim 11 starters on offense because technically Sam started a game or two at QB, but I count that as 10 since Golson played the whole year.

Yeah, worst case scenario, I see them winning at least 10 games and competing for a spot in the ACC championship. That alone, regardless of how it transpired, would put them in the Top 25.

They literally have 6 games on their schedule where they are double digit favorites (Chucktown Southern, USF, WF, NC State, BC & Syracuse) and only have to get the better end of a split of the rest (Ole Miss, Louisville, NC, Miami, Clemson and Florida).

Don't forget LSU at #4!

Biggest joke of them all IMO.

Could LSU be #4 eventually? Sure, as long as Fournette is healthy and they get serviceable QB play... but there is no indication that any of their QB's will finally be any good.

It was more of a critique of their "key losses" section. lol

I don't understand how anyone could have A&M as a top 25 team.

I agree. They do have SOME very solid players but as a team and with their coaching/qb issues, I would rank them down around 40. But that's just me.

SIAP in some other thread; but I was just looking at Heisman odds - even though the award is a joke these days.

When the odds opened, Kizer was at 30:1; but now is down to 20:1.
He now has the same odds as Chad Kelly (opened at 12:1), Josh Rosen (opened at 15:1), and Samaje Perine (opened at 20:1).

The only other player to have his odds drop is Christian McCaffrey who has gone from 7:1 to 6:1. Deshaun Watson is still the favorite at 5:1, ahead of McCaffrey and Fournette at 6:1.

FSU returns 18 starters and has recruited as well as anyone in the past 5 years. I am OK with that #1 prediction.

FSU is a pretty good pick. Very easy schedule and they return so many guys.

1. Florida State
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. LSU
5. Clemson
6. Ohio State
7. Tennessee
8. Washington
9. Notre Dame
10. Stanford

FSU, LSU, Clemson, Tennessee and Washington all seem like crazy reaches to me. Especially Washington, which I would guess will finish no better than 4th or 5th in their conference.

Thanks. I didn't want to reward that clickbaity title with a view.

I've been hearing "UT's gonna be great this year" ever since Butch arrived... and every year it's been the same old unimpressive result. I'll believe it when I see it.
