So wait WISCONSIN has a larger UA contract than ND does?

No, because we got stock and other benefits that we don't disclose, which is worth SUBSTANTIALLY more. They said "valued at $90 million in 2014" which is relatively accurate. But UA's stock has effectively doubled in price since signing ND sooo....

Being the ND fanatic in my family, when news broke on the ND/UA talks, I immediately mentioned it to my father-in-law as my one and only hot pick for his stock portfolio. He chose not to get in. When UA's stock doubled, I sent him the quote.

I don't like day-trading. I don't enjoy investing in individual stocks. I've missed on a handful, but I've also hit on UA, Tesla (x2 actually), FB, Boeing, and Delta. He should've listened ;)

Similarly, I put a bug in my old man's ear and he went BIG into UA stock. My logic was if ND sees it as profitable, it must be.

We regularly talk about when we should get out, but UA is great right now. They hit the lotto with Cam Newton and Steph Curry as well, two of the most popular players in their sports this past year.

Better not pick too many winners or your boy Bernie is gonna come after ya! ;)

Absolutely, and Jordan Spieth, etc. Had a really, really great year. Nike is legitimately scared of them right now.

Haha. Yea I'm sure the Bern isn't crazy about my capital gains tax bill.

Nike will be fine, but I agree, UA has done a tremendous job competing. The upped their game and have the star power athletes repping them. Can't ask for much more than that.

Hopefully UA gets back to basics. I've always loved the Bruins uniforms, but Adidas azzcanned them for too many years. Terry Donohue is happy.

for sure, unbelievable what a shitty job Adidas did with UCLA. How can you ruin such a classic look like that?? UA is eating up all Adidas' core schools now: ND, Wisconin, UCLA. They really only have Nebraska, Miami and A+M left

So you want the guys who came up with Maryland's uni's to tone down UCLA? Don't hold your breath. I didn't mind their uni's, except for the gray ones. Don't like the gray trend at all.

I spoke with someone involved with the UCLA deal and I'd bet UA will definitely return the Bruins' traditional home uniforms to their former glory.

Also, UA tends to be pretty conservative with uniforms when they first acquire a new account, especially at the major and popular schools. And doubly especially when a fan base like UCLA has been complaining about their uniforms for years.

I was playing on irony.

UA gives the schools what they ask for.. or what they can pitch them on. UCLA obviously asked Adidas to give them some fresh ideas and that's what they chose for sales. It's easy to copy the old stuff as they did with ND. There's a large group of UCLA fans that watch the games at the ND Club of OC's bar and I see them in the new stuff. I like the black jersey especially for an alternative.

It's not like this dark period when somehow Adidas forced these down the programs' throats:

I actually really liked Cincinnati's version of those. Didn't work for any other team, though.

I didn't mind Baylor's version because I couldn't see the print as much. The rest looked like cut-off Zubbaz.

I am still waiting for the "Home" version of the Under the Lights jerseys they wore at scUM in '11.

I know, I know, different apparel companies now, but a man can dream.

My dream involves every aspect of that game, including the uniforms, is locked in an underground vault for eternity.
