Sun King Fistful of Hops. Truly terrible stuff. That brewery is a joke. They have had a few hits on in house brews, but their distributed stuff is awful. #neveragain

They sell a ton though.

Real Ale 4 Squared dry hopped pale ale. Very meh, lacking much hops and flavor. Luckily it was cheap.

After a couple of days being sick, I am going to try a beer or two tonight.

First up Elysian Space Dust IPA. I enjoy this beer and I am glad that Elysian is now distributing to AZ (though not shocking since they are now owned by Inbev). I look forward to their Dayglow IPA coming here as well.

Also did anyone else see that Stone is now canning their IPA? Just in time for summer.

I'm underway right now but when I get back I plan on trying almost all of the Karl Strauss IPA's.

I will also add Elysian Dayglow to the list!

What I had this weekend:

2014 Charamba Douro. Damn, I'm definitely gonna get more Portuguese wines if they're gonna be this good for so cheap ($8 for a good red).
2014 Inama Soave Classico. Much fruit, very easy to drink that the bottle was gone quickly.

Taming of the Savage Heart, tart blonde ale. I love tart and this has a ton of it. I need to start reading labels before I open bottles though, because I just opened one from batch #001. Oops.

Now:
Glenmorangie 10 YO
St Arnold Art Car IPA. I'm not sure that I'll find another IPA this good at this price. $7.50 for a sixer? Yes please. Very hoppy, lots of grapefruit, just how I like it.

Keystone Light - hey, it's cheap and I don't get paid til Friday.

Usually, it's a Surly Furious, Summit EPA or Sam's Dbl IPA. If I'm not in a beer mood, any cheap blended scotch will do.

The wife was sick, so after taking my oldest to baseball practice, it was Anderson Briney Melon and Elysian Space Dust IPA.

Now Sierra Nevada Hoptimum while doing some work.

Welcome. Nice taste with the Surly Furious.

Looking at your teams there, I'm thinking maybe you are originally from the Twin Cities? I just moved back down to Iowa from Sartell, up by St Cloud.

Trying to talk the wife into moving back. MSP is my favorite place after Boston. Can't afford to live in Boston so I'm trying for Maple Grove or Coon Rapids.

My mom is from Minnesota and I still have a ton of family there (all over from Brainerd to Wortington, to Rochester and a large number in the MSP area), so I grew up rooting for all of the MN teams. I agree that MSP is a great city and is one of the cities that I would consider moving too.

Now some Lagunitas Waldos' Special Ale.

Okay, tickets bought for Denver. What do I look for?

Great Divide is fantastic, haven't been to their new tap room and barrel bar but heard it's great. Highly recommend any of the Yetis.

Denver Beer Co. is very good as well, great patio.

Prost is good, also good patio. Very close to Denver Beer Co.

Several breweries in the River North Neighborhood, where the new Great Divide Barrel Bar is.

Have heard good things about Crooked Stave, Former Future, Grandma's House, Renegade Brewing and Hogs Head but haven't been to any of them.

Of course need to go to Falling Rock Tap House, one of the best beer bars in the country.

Also, if you take the hour drive north to Fort Collins, several other options there. Of course New Belgium and Odell are there. The New Belgium brewery is really cool, highly recommend the tour.

Black Bottle Brewing is great and Equinox is good as well. Highly recommend Mayor of Old Town if just looking for a beer bar
