Anybody watch Jessica Jones on Netflix? I tried to power through a few episodes yesterday and geesh it was terrible. The action is so hokey and I can't stand the lead actress. Doesn't even come close to Daredevil.
I liked Jessica Jones. It's much different from Daredevil but it needs to be. If you were expecting another DD of course you're going to be disappointed.

I didn't mean the tone, I think the quality is sub par. The action sucks. The storyline is boring. The love story with Luke Cage is awkward and feels forced, something just to set up another series. She's picking up cars and jumping from the street onto building in the middle of the city and no one notices. Her blonde friend is stupid, she blames the cop for trying to kill her when she knows for a fact he couldn't control it. They had that awkward scene when he gave her an illegal gun so I'm sure they are going to cram some cheesy relationship in there with those two. The villain is a generic British guy. Worst of all I don't care if any of the characters die so there is zero tension.
It feels like a shitty drama made for YA girls like teenwolf with the Marvel moniker slapped on.

I really liked Jessica Jones... Thought it was different and they did a great job capturing the comic.... DD is better, but JJ was good and can't wait for season 2
I thought the Purple Man was awesome at first and always liked him in the comics.
Unfortunately, the actress that plays Jessica is so unlikable to me and the story was so tedious that I just didn't care by the end.
I won't be watching season two.
IMAX question. I'm going to buy my tickets for Civil War on premier night, but the seat selection isn't the best. Would I be better off towards the front of the theater, but centered, or in the back of the theater but off to the side?
Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War caps off the trilogy that began with Joe Johnston’s Captain America: The First Avenger back in 2011, but it is so much more than just another film about Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. In fact, there are key elements of the movie that can be traced back to just about every single Marvel Studios title that has come before it, really giving it the sense that things have all been leading to this point (even when there’s still so much more to go). Of course, this means that having a refresher course on the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be quite useful, so that’s exactly what we’re here to provide.
Below you’ll find that we’ve gone movie-by-movie, starting with 2008’s Iron Man, and have examined exactly how each title has influenced the MCU to this point and what elements fans can expect to see pay off in Captain America: Civil War. Enjoy the read, but be warned that each section contains major spoilers for each individual title, but NO SPOILERS for Civil War itself!
Cool. I like Captain America.Went to Civil War in IMAX last night. It was completely awesome, 100% a Captain America film first and foremost with all of the added crossover goodness of an Avengers movie. The long running time allowed each and every character to have a chance to shine, and there were some iconic battle scenes taken right out of the comics.
Spider Man and Black Panther were absolutely nailed.
If I had one complaint it would be that the 3D made it very difficult to follow some of the action scenes. The big airport battle that they've shown in the trailers looked awesome because they used the fancy new IMAX camera to film it, but the rest of the fight scenes were just too busy in 3D.
The IMAX sound was booming though. My last few IMAX shows were in theaters that were converted to IMAX after the fact, but the Providence theater has an absolutely amazing audio system (albeit shitty seats).
Should I see it in IMAX 3d?
I saw it in on a standard screen and it was fine, but I'd imagine IMAX would be the shit.
I'm not a big 3D fan, as it usually gives me headaches, so I can't speak on that.
Regular theater 3D version was great. Fantastic film!
