Mentioned in another thread that I saw him close up last weekend in Ann arbor for their coaches clinic

Kid is every bit of 6'6" and had a lot of room to fill out

On a couple highlights, he didn't just pancake his opponent, he bent them back over themselves the wrong way. Looked painful in every case (to the opponent.)

Kid is a major road grader. Doesn't quit to the whistle. He clearly has a demoralizing affect on his opponents.

He is an immediate take, especially if HH is going with four or five linemen this year. This kind has extreme versatility, is athletic, and fairly long; but he has the leg drive and with incredible upper body strength to play inside.

Fuck ratings, and Fuck Michigan!

If by extreme versatility you mean right or possibly left tackle, I agree. This kid may be closer to 6-7. The last thing we need is Beach at guard and Avery Davis staring at his belt loops while trying to go over the middle to the TE's.

I know his time was limited last year but Zaire didn't seem to have any problems seeing around Stanley and McGlinchey...

Per ISD/Freeman, Beach didn't know much about ND going into the visit, but was "blown away" by ND. Came w/ his mom, who is from Ohio, so being from Colorado and living in Wisconsin currently does not wed him to either state. Completely bought in to Heistand's message. Will not rush a decision but he knows that spots will fill up sooner than later (Beach said ND will take 5 OL). Talked to Kramer as well, which helped.

...and thank goodness they were tackles. I hope a picture of Davis and Malik surfaces. I know Malik's a big 6-0. Interesting to see how they compare.

Well here's a picture of Davis with current New York Jets QB Bryce Petty. Petty is listed at 6-3, 230.

NDC, Do you remember how tall Elmer was? And Nelson was a solid 6'5" which would still throw a quarterback fits if they had trouble seeing their linemen. If fact, watching Nick Martin out there with the other guys, he looked short!

I suppose if Zaire has trouble seeing over linemen it is good that we have two quarterbacks that are taller!

And as far as Zarire's height, I have stood next to Golson, and Zaire, and Malik has to be a good three inches taller than Everett. So I think Zaire is a true 6'1" to 6'2. He just doesn't look it from a distance because he is such a big load. He looked bigger to me last year than CJ, but that could have been the long term affects of hallucinogenic drugs.

If we're taking 5, then no one should have any problems with this offer. Big time frame and upside.

Then that's all he needs, because he saw everything, all over the field against Texas, an the right side of his line was 6'7", and 6'8" tall. And the left side was 6'6", and 6'5" tall!

Picture makes Malik look like he is taking a dump. But the important thing is look how thick he is, from his calves to his neck. They said he was 230 prior to the season. I don't think he lost that much. He is a really big boy!

Hey a Wisconsin recruit! His competition is awful like most Wisconsin high school football. But he has the size

Per the second biggest homer on the planet

Notre Dame may have entered the race for Wisconsin's top prospect in offensive tackle Tyler Beach. We still expect Beach to make an early decision, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out with him. He may re-visit Michigan before deciding. It wouldn't surprise me if Wisconsin was on the outside looking in, and this could be a repeat of Ben Bredeson's recruitment last cycle.

If ND pulls Beach, I hope they close the OL class with two elite tackle prospects. Sarell and Trey Smith preferably.

Doubtful. Just don't see how you can sell TWO elite tackles to join a class that would already included Lugg, Beach, Gibbons. After a class of Kraemer, Eichenberg, Boudreaux.

Not to mention many expect Hainsey to pop this weekend.

None of the three would be LT prospects. We need at least one elite LT prospect this year, at least.

Hainsey, Beach, Sarell maybe?

I really think we land Sarell. To be in his top two without even having visited yet? He loves HH and hasn't even met him yet. It's a wrap.

Gibbons isn't going to be a left tackle but you can't say Lugg or Beach won't be after Kraemer and Eichenberg are gone... or before that matter. A few years ago we thought Nelson was going to be the LT of the future but it was the other, lower rated guy in the class who ended up with the position.

Stack them deep and let them figure it out on the field. Sometimes a highly rated guy like Hunter Bivens, a .95+ Comp has the chance of never breaking the starting line up. THAT'S when you know you are doing it right.

Even if you wanted to make that case, neither would be elite and with the amount of elite prospects interested, you have to like HH's chances of pulling at least one.

I think Sarell is the only guy that would come if Beach and Hainsey commit first. If Hainsey comes, he's most likely accepted he's going to be a guard. Foster Sarell is the only guy we're on in '17 who should be thinking that he could possibly walk into the ND depth chart and play tackle by year 2.

I agree, pretty tough for me to think that, at this stage we can say, without a doubt, that Lugg and Beach can't be LT's.

Yeah, who at this point a few years back didn't think McG was going to be at best a RT during his 4th or 5th year... or maybe a life long backup, grad transfer??? These 6-6.5+ guys have a shot to turn the depth charts upside down and some great ones can come out of nowhere. Joe Staley and Eric Fisher come to mind first but it's certainly not limited to them.

I actually like trey smith and willis a bit more than serell. All 3 look like year 2 starters though. I would love to have any of those 3 but if pressed, I am taking Smith..jmho...

Trey would be reloading at LG when Q starts playing on Sundays
