I prefer Fianna , or Fionn Warrior, over the coopted title 'Notre Dame Man,' but in any case Troy Pride Jr., deserves the title before he even sets foot on campus. I will meet him and express this to him in some way, some day. Here is what a seventeen year old, high school senior, going to ND on the forty year plan has done :

Troy Pride Jr. prom

Notre Dame football signee Troy Pride Jr. took Lina Rafkah, who has Down syndrome, to the "Night to Shine" prom last month in Greer, S.C (photo courtesy Hazar Rafkah).

Troy Pride Jr. didn’t have to take Lina Rafkah to the prom.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back and wide receiver had plenty of reasons not to go. Before Lina approached him in the hallway at Greer Senior High School with an impromptu prom-posal, the two had never met. . . .

Remember hearing in interview Troy did on Power Hour a few months back when he was still a VT commit. You could tell he was ND material, great kid.

I said before I thought we would be one of the highlights of this class. Little did I know he was already a super star. Great feature young man.

Tears in the eyes. All should be proud of this young man.

In western PA, I am the Assistant Director for an agency that houses 64 individuals dually diagnosed with some form of intellectual or cognitive disability. I see these beautiful men and women fight through stigmas on a daily basis. Getting stared at is not uncommon as they just try to live a normal life like you and I. Stories like this really hit home for me. Momma Pride should be on cloud nine for the man that her son has become. A selfless act to bring joy to a stranger goes a long way. This young lady will always talk about this and truly will remember this for the rest of her life. Great job Tony.

I like that Twitter comment : "D Robertson 100: 10.93 400: 51.77. As a comparison."

Yeah those 200m and 400m are more impressive times than the 100m IMO.

Only thing keeping him back from playing this year IMO is CB depth and adding strength. Think he will be ready to roll next year

Wouldn't be surprised if both Pride and Vaughn passed Butler and were fighting for #2 by the start of the season, or shortly thereafter. Anyone know how White and Coleman have been tracking?

measurables...and I've seen his tape on here. I try not to heap expectations on a kid, but if I had to bet on productivity out of a Dback...lets just say this kid has a good chance to rival some of the standard bearers of the past...including his position coach.

I have a hard time seeing them pass up Butler, Watkins, Crawford and Coleman. I don't really want to see a true freshman starting on the outside

Meant #2 on the left side behind Watkins. Nobody's touching Luke/Coleman rotation me thinks.
