In this day and age of "tweeners" being labeled "hybrid" players, Smith is the rare commodity who is truly hybrid in the sense that he has the athleticism, speed and physical makeup to play any linebacker spot in either the 3*-4 or the 4-*3. Smith was productive but slightly miscast in the middle of the Notre Dame defense and is better suited to play in space as a 4*-3 outside linebacker. However, his length and upfield burst could draw the attention of a 3-*4 team looking to transition him into a rush linebacker while utilizing his rare cover skills.

I like their comparison of DJ, at least at the NFL level. As a Chiefs fan, I have many times thought they looked similar, and built for the middle in the pass happy NFL. DJ excels in coverage and makes up for not being a "thumper" in the middle by being an excellent athlete and physical when he needs to be. That said, I could see him coming off the edge too, very similar to Vonn Miller, like you guys said. He'll be a fun one to watch.

He should be walking gingerly. It's way too early. I think the idea of being out of the brace is strictly for show at the combine. He will probably go back to the brace after he leaves Indy.

Yikes, seems like he confused some teams on whether there was nerve damage. Said there wasn't any nerve damage. Later on in the press conference he said the AFO was to help the nerve heal.

Jaylon's physical is looking awful. Pretty much confirmed he has no shot for 2016.

And as already stated, he basically got caught in a lie about his health. And his physical contradicts everything he said. Hoping that lie doesn't cost him even more.
