Sounds like an absolute awful idea lol

How about we talk about Michael Floyd, Golden Tate, Tyler Eifert and Thrill Fuller

TJ Jones, Kyle Rudolph, John Carlson, Anthony Fasano, dare I say Tom Brown and the Rocket...

Wants to get into Stanford and ND for academics. Betting he knows who all those guys are.

So because he's smart and wants to attend an elite school he would know random ND players who play in the NFL? I am confused on the context of your post

Yes, pretty much. Because he's a smart kid he knows each school's history of placing kids in the NFL, especially at his position. He'd be an idiot if he didn't. And if he doesn't (which I highly doubt), I'm sure someone in his support structure, or at least a ND coach who is recruiting him, has pointed those things out. Maybe I'm an idiot, or give too much credit to 18 year olds, but it's pretty obvious to me.

from 13:40 onwards

He's still completely undecided btw. Would like to get into Stanford, wants to see how his application goes. If Stanford was a total nonrunner he would have committed somewhere on NSD.

Mom wants GT, thinks Stanford is too far away.

Sounds like his brothers are the real decision makers here.

After listening to that there is no way this kid is coming to ND. Also, he didn't mention Kelly as one of the coaches calling him but did mention Saban. If that is the case, that would be a disappointment.

Yeah, he gone (if he was even really "on board" with the Irish at any time)!

Not mentioning BK doesn't mean he hasn't been in contact with him. However, the writing's been on the wall for a long time. If ND was really his backup plan to Stanford, there probably wouldn't be any contact or visits with other schools.

Today's the 11th. I guess we all wait for him to tweet something out about receiving his SAT scores.

All along I've been pretty optimistic about landing him, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to agree with others that he seems to be looking for any option other than ND. If Stanford doesn't work out, why not then just commit to ND? Why visit Georgia in two weeks?

Feel bad for the kid, seems like he's stuck in a tug of war between his two brothers versus his mom and sister. There's obviously a lot of factors at work here and it does not seem its truly his own decision to make which is kind of sad.

I would agree, I'm not very optimistic myself, in fact, id be shocked if he picks us. However, i would not read into anything too much. He may or may not make that UGA visit. Who's to say that he will get his scores back, not make the cut for Stanford, and cancel all visits and commit somewhere. He seems to keep pushing visits back over and over.

The kid is CLEARLY confused, so I'm just going to leave this one alone, assuming it wont go our way, so I'm not as disappointed in the end.

(Side note, i don't think we should be questioning Coach Kelly on this recruitment AT ALL. I am quite sure hes done everyyyything he can to land D Rob. Just because D Rob didn't say his name on that interview, doesn't mean Kelly isn't all over him. Again, the kid is CONFUSED)

Reading between the lines I think the people that keep saying it's about more than just an SAT score are probably right.

I also think he doesn't want to go to Notre Dame but recognizes the value of a good education so he is weighing the ND education v. going to a school like Georgia that he actually likes.

Maybe i'm a hopeless optimist, but...

Quite possibly he has now confirmed he isn't getting into Stanford and is taking the weekend to come to a final decision (send in NLI to ND) early this coming week. And all of the "visit Georgia" talk is nothing more than what it has been the past few months... talk, to keep them off his back.

He was always 'on-board', ND was his "when-absolutely-every-other-option-completely-fell-thru-and-there-was-no-chance-of-getting-what-he-really-wanted" option.

Canceled his weekend trip to UG to play basketball, per Loy. Expected to get SAT back today or tomorrow.

Might visit Georgia NEXT weekend.

If his SAT score is acceptable enough for an application, this could go on another month or so. If it's not worth the application, he could shut it down by Monday.

As the world turns..

I've tried to stay out of this thread until some actual news comes out. But I do have a question:

If he's waiting on SATs and hoping to get into Stanford, and by most accounts ND is his 1b or 2 school...why is UGA even still getting mentioned? Is ND not his true backup to Stanford?
