Which also means they have assurances its not ND right????

No. They have assurances that it's definitely not going to be them if he signs anywhere tomorrow. They only have a chance if this goes past NSD. So why would they send him a LOI?

Regardless I don't really see your point. You are acting like a five star recruit being unsure the day before signing day and ND being one of the only schools that can realistically say that they have a shot at landing him is a bad thing. Bama and Georgia didn't send this kid a LOI to sign NOT because they weren't interested. They didn't send it because they know as it stands right now they don't have a chance with this kid. Their only prayer is if he takes visits. Visits that's he's been continuously putting off with a myriad of excuses.

Like another poster said, this is a situation where a kid from Savannah, GA, is potentially waiting until after NSD to take his first visit to Athens, and that hasn't even been set in stone yet. If that's not "letting actions speak louder than words" I don't know what is. There is no reason for him not to have gone there 15 times by now if he really was interested in what they were selling. Same with Bama to a lesser extent.

It's not impossible that he could visit UGA and fall in love with the campus or the town (I did), but right now ND is sitting about as pretty as it could be.

Well, it would be prettier if he'd just shut this down and sign with us tomorrow.
But barring that, yes, I'd rather be Notre Dame at this point in this recruitment than any of the other schools involved.

P.S. Am I to believe he's never even been to UGA? Like, not just for an OV but for anything? Does that seem odd? Did he get into the recruiting thing late?

So, I couldn't stay away too long. I thought the same thing about UGA. Not sure the distance, but it could not have been that difficult for him to get there at some point. One thing, wasn't there some talk of him and Hardman wanting to play together in college. I know that those rarely work out, but almost every CB that I have seen for Hardman has him to Georgia lately.

Yeah nothing is hard. I stated facts. You stated a presumption. I'll choose to believe what I know to be true.

And it doesn't look good.

Actually he stated facts. Demetris and his dad both stated in an interview yesterday that they are waiting until he gets his test scores back on the 11th. If the score is high enough to be considered for Stanford, they will visit between the 13th-17th. Why would Stanford send a kid an LOI that has not been accepted yet? I am still hoping it is all a smoke screen to provide some drama for NSD and he signs with us tomorrow.

So as of right now his only options are Cal, GT, ND based on them being only schools who have provided him an LOI.

I don't recall Cal or GT ever being named in his "leaders".

ND and UGA are only schools that did in home visits, correct?

but he still isn't signing for us tomorrow....

Says about all I need to know.
10-14 days is a lot of time to collect additional LOIs

Does Stanford take early enrollees?

I am likely overlooking something here so don't kill me on this but on 247 and rivals it shows that Stanford has 25 hard commits, none of which are early enrollees. My understanding of the scholarship limitations was that you could sign 25 guys a year onto scholarship (you can sign more then 25 only if you had early enrollees that counted against last years class).

Stanford can't be full on their yearly limit, can they? Are some of their guys preferred walk-ons? I am sure they would find a way to make room for DR but what am I missing here?

I really don't know if anyone has a clear read on what's going on with Stanford here. Let's start at the top:
1) For Stanford to even hypothetically review an application this late is breaking with how they do things. Robertson has not even filled out an application for Stanford at this point.
2) To my knowledge, they did not have any EEs last year. They're also allegedly going to flip Pryts from PSU tomorrow which would put them at 26. Are some of their listed guys walk-ons? I think you are accurate that they can't go over 25 counters, but if they wanted to go old school SEC I don't know if there are internal rules or PAC12 rules that would stop them from oversigning. I don't think there is any rule stopping them from signing Robertson to an LOI even if he were the 27th guy, but I'm not sure.
3) The most plausible explanation is that David Shaw -- who is a huge boner -- is just screwing with ND here. They didn't send any coaches to visit him, ever. They didn't send him an LOI, because he hasn't even started their process to get past admissions. None of this follows how they do things. So MAYBE there is a slim chance that Robertson gets past admissions with this super-special late application that no one gets to do... but it really seems like they only started recruiting him down the stretch once they heard he might be going to ND. So maybe he knows there's slim-to-none (or effectively 0%) chance that Robertson gets in to Stanford but he knows that dragging this out past NSD drastically increases the probability that he signs somewhere other than where he'll have to see him the next three seasons.
4) If he does by some weird miracle Stanford sells their soul and makes a gigantic exception to get him in, then I think it's reasonable to believe that he OVs to Stanford and then immediately signs there.
5) The alternatives are messy... if he doesn't sign with ND tomorrow, does Stanford continue to string him along and convince him to retake the SAT again and take other visits in the hope he doesn't go to ND? If he DOES sign with ND tomorrow, do they "Vanderdoes" the situation if he's accepted later?

Stanford has 25 right now but 2 are going on Mormon missions. They don't count towards the 25 limit. Theoretically they should only be able to take 2 more.

There is a positive update from Wiltfong on 247 he says even if he gets after tomorrow and even if he gets into stanford we still have a good chance. Though stanford frightens me personally
Said this last week. We've put ourselves in a great position to land him whether or not Stanford is an option. And I still feel good about us signing him.

And a part of me also thinks he might have a change of heart and sign with us tomorrow despite everything, but that's just info-less speculation.

He may very well, but the thing is he has no reason to do so. It's not as if the train is leaving if he's not on board by tomorrow. Plus, unless he somehow gets his test results and a final answer from Stanford, I highly doubt it.

Robertson and Kelly are the real reasons everyone is on IE today. Looking, peaking and hoping for something positive.

Elston told Book to keeping recruiting today because there is still one more out there to get and Book will want this guy to throw to in the future

I would think so. I was listening to SI's broadcast when they were interviewing Stoops. He mentioned "one more player" today.

I haven't looked at their commitment list, but did the guy who they just offered who left Bama sign with OU?

TIFIW, a poster on 247 has a friend that is an involved alum at Savannah Christian Prep and said that he hasn't heard anything final yet, but word is that he is leaning heavily towards ND

ESPN usually knows their sh*t when it comes to recruiting, after all

If I earned a penny every time ESPN said a SEC school on their recruiting show today my house would be paid off.

ESPN didn't mention ND until 9:30...complete BS.

Espn is pretty good about predicting where top kids go. Although he did go to Army and not Under Armour so I would be shocked if they didnt drop him in rankings
