Haha, you know, because he's been dominating Cooper all week.

I think it has more to do with the full court press OSU recruits have been putting on him at the event. I think Cooper is "picking on" Tommy in the same way a boy puts a frog in the desk of a girl he likes. Just trying to get his attention.

No need to say sorry to me, I would rather him be mad about Kraemer dominating him. Are you saying that the comment was in jest and Hare wasn't being serious about Cooper stealing his jersey? I assumed that, but if it was actually serious, then I honestly dont think it would be out of angst. Cooper has been one of the best defensive players there, outside getting schooled by Kraemer.

Cooper and Kraemer have a good relationship. From back in June:

"Going against Tommy made me a better player, and I think it made him a better player too," Cooper said. "If he were to come here and we got to work against each other every day, I think we could both make each other really good players."

Does OSU really think they have a chance to flip him? He's probably the most solid ND commit we've had in awhile

I doubt it. That article was from June. I posted it just as an illustration of Cooper and Kraemer having a friendly relationship.

When someone says rumor has it, I'm assuming it was meant, by Hare, in jest. I highly doubt Cooper took the time to steal Kraemer's jersey but I don't know that to be fact. So have at it with whatever ideas you can come up with.

I'm helping push this post up the board so we can start insisting he's just an OG again.

Is this a yanky our wanky, clickbait statement by the Fonger or does he actually allude in the piece that he and other 247 spindocs are seriously contemplating moving Kraemer to #1 OT?

If he can't beat out Barrs do you want TK to sit on the bench if he can get on the field as a guard?

They currently have him as the #2 OT in the country so not much room to go up for them.

2nd place simply means when it comes to losing, you procrastinate more than all the rest.

That tip's free Lucky. The rest are straight off the rate card.

LOL. What I want is for people to recognize that the reason guys like Bars and Nelson are getting on the feild at OG is not because they are not good OT prospects, but becasue we are loaded with big, athletic linemen. The OTs they are losing out to are 1st round NFL linemen. Nelson, for example, could definitly play OT. If you are even talking about Steve Elmer potentially getting knocked out of the rotation next year (not by Kraemer, of course), you are loaded at OL.

I feel like their is a tendency on the board to write-off a guy as an OG the first time we hear that he got beat on an edge rush, needs to work on his feet, or has a gut.

I would love for him to have an honest shot at RG, but I guess the staff will play Elmer no matter what.

I would like to see

Barrs, Nelson, Hoge/Mustipher , Elmer/Kraemer, McGlinchy

I agree that Elmer will almost certainly play; experience and stability matter on the OL.

I think Elmer is a little underrated, and he and McGlinchy work well together in the rish game. Bars and Nelson should defeinitly be next to each other. I see Mustipher winning.

You must be watching a different Steve Elmer than I watched.......I think he's by far the biggest liability on the line

Most of our linemen had bad days. But I agree that he was probably the least impressive at times. I don't think I'd call him a liability by any stretch.

Personally, I would prefer to never see a true freshman O-lineman play again.

I'd bet there at least 124 other FBS schools, possibly 127 that wished their lowest rated lineman was as good as Steve Elmer.

Probably more than a few who wish their best lineman was as good as Steve Elmer.

Elmer was very good, except for the times he completely wiffed badly.

I think Elmer is very good in pass protection. I think if he wants to be he could play in the NFL for a long time. I think he isn't great at run blocking sometimes because he lacks the "nasty" of guys like ZMart. I think he has to make a conscious decision of whether he wants to dedicate himself to being great, or if his heart isn't in it. A lot of guys reach this fork in the road as upperclassmen and either flip the switch or fade away. I'm very interested to see which direction Elmer decides to go this offseason, because I promise you there are guys behind him that are hungry.

Well said and I agree about the pass blocking versus run blocking.
