Two players that I wish had one more year of eligibility are Chris Brown and Elijah Shumate. It just seems like both have figured it out in their senior year. Proud of both of them and they will be sorely missed.

Amen to that...I have always liked both guys, and they are pretty much bringing it.

The 2012 class was f*cked starting in signing day. But the quality that came out of that class is outstanding. Key contributors Off the top of my head:

Chris Brown, Prosise, Stanley, Day, Jarron Jones, KVR, Shumate, Scott Daly, Romeo, Barrati had a big role in 2012

Me too. Chris Brown has been a consummate professional since he arrived on campus. Even if he never became the #1 WR on the roster, he had some big moments for us and I believe his best football could still be in front of him. he just needs to get on a practice squad/roster and go from there.

Agree in that his best football may still be ahead of him.

The one play I'll always remember Chris for is the catch his freshman year at Oklahoma!

He has the speed to be on a roster. He'll need to hone his ability to come out of breaks and get separation. Best wishes for Chris.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least on a practice squad.

I can see him becoming one of those guys that catches onto a team and just plays well. He has the right attitude, and he has the skill set. He just wasn't flashy in college, which is fine. He'll get his chance, and I can see Chris Brown sticking with a team and having a successful couple years.

Chris has had a fantastic career at ND. Never took the final step to stardom some thought he could from his glimpses of talent and passion at practice (could also have to do with Fuller just being that good), but if you go back and look he's been a fantastic #2 WR for a couple years now, an amazing teammate, and a great downfield blocking WR.

Just wanted to post my thank you to Chris for all he gave to ND on and off the field. Couldn't ask for anything more, and I truly hope he has an extremely successful career after ND, whether that includes the NFL or not.

I was pretty hard on him (justifiably IMO) up until this year but he definitely took his game to another level during this season. Props to him. I think he has the ability to succeed in the NFL and wish him the best of luck.

Good point about his blocking. That will help him in trying to land with a team.

Given his attitude, he's already a success and will be in whatever endeavors lie ahead for him.

I actually think he runs good routes, better than Fuller, and comes out of his breaks well. He has just been overshadowed the past two years by Fuller.

Really solid and extremely valuable player and teammate for us. He filled in the gaps when Will and the TEs weren't available on given plays. With him on the field with Will and a decent TE, our QBs always had somewhere to go with the ball. With the right team's offensive plan and QB, I see no reason why a tough smart talented battler like CBreezy can't help a pro team.

I can't say it any better so I'll just bump this post.

Solid contributor. Not overly flashy, but followed his assignment. 100 career receptions, 1,345 yards and 5 touchdowns. He'll get a look as a late round pick.

That's a cool story. Chris ended up turning in a very fine second option at receiver, which is more than I expected from him, and it sounds like he also developed into a great glue guy for the team.

Yea, great story! His catch versus Oklahoma was priceless at the time but if he had another year, he might be putting up some really good numbers himself.

Congrats Chris and wish you nothing but success in the future.

was always one of my favorite players. Never gave up on him. I thought he'd be more Fuller'ish, but he ended up being himself and finding his own space, which IMO is just as good. I'll take a Breezy in every class.

I looked up his track times yesterday and they are the best of the latest ND fast guys.

100 = 10.51

200 = 21.60

High Jump = 6-10

Long Jump = 23-9

Triple Jump = 51-2.5 (2nd best in the country)

And for a little historical comparison, Rocket won PA state championships with a 10.63 / 100 and 23-10 long jump.

My favorite scene on showtime was when Chris was telling Corey that he was the man. Corey had been in a slump and made a great catch.

His leadership, along with Sheldon Day's, Nick Martin's, and Joe Schmidt's is going to be hard to replace
