Held to 3 catches for 28 yards and a TD in his team's 28-21 state title game loss to De La Salle.

He looked a little gimpy, but he also had 3 drops. Two of them would have been Top 10 quality in his defense.

Whether it was he was hurt or not, he was running some really bad routes. The effort wasn't there. Not sure if that was bc he was hurt, or just part of him knowing the ball was going some place else.

Would love to see him get healthy though.

TP,

The kid was one of the more prolific high school football players in California history. He has produced, and produced, and produced for 3 years, including in the playoffs. It's not like he is a role player on his team that only gets the ball occasionally, and not a lot in big games.

You think he is just going to mail it in a championship game? We know he was injured a few weeks ago and his ankle is bothering him. It seems a lot more likely that he lacked explosion because of an ankle sprain and just wasn't himself.

Davaris is that you??

Except for the fact that Devaris was one of about 5 offensive players who looked like he belonged on the field against Alabama. Hard to understand kids mailing in championships.

He aggravated his high ankle sprain versus Bosco. And the o ly way DLS could stop him is if Tagaloa and Asiasi dominated the passing game from the DL. I have been off grid and haven't seen the game or box score yet but the LATimes said Taylor and Catalano both had a lot of yards and attempts. Doesnt sound like be had more than 6-8 targets. DLS is a great team but if Bosco with five, 3&4 star DBs can't stop him when he's hurt, DLS's DBs weren't the cause of a soft outing.

Centennial focused more on the run this year. JJ Taylor was a beast all year long, Catalano too. That and a few nagging injuries to JMc caused his numbers to be down compared to last year.

But he's still who we thought he was.

I just have my opinions after seeing him live a few times. If he's a great player, then he will be a great player. I just think he is a lot farther from being the player most think he is right now.

Not much of a commitment, if you won't even speak out loud about it.

Holding off until the Army AA Game is a good move if you know he's a lock. It gives both him and ND their moment at college football's premier All Star game on college football's #2 most visible recruiting day.
