Normally I roll my eyes at announcements like that but that was very well done.

Thrilled to have Hayes on board, and I actually liked that commit video (unlike most others). Having Hayes, Kareem, Perry and (hopefully) Studstill on campus for the Spring could be huge for the program going forward.

Yeah, because we've really developed a reputation for that killer instinct.

I know its been the narrative this year, but when you go back and look at the past 5 years there has been plenty of games that ND has taken over. I posted this in the moving on to 2016 thread.

2015: 10-2
ND 38 - Texas 3 (4-7)
ND 30 - GT 7 (3-9) they scored 2 late TDs aginst backups to make it 22
ND 62 - UMASS 20 (3-9) Scored late TD against backups to make it 27
ND 41 - Navy 24 (10-2) who is a good team and we demolished them
ND 42 - Pitt 17 (8-4) again scored 2 late TDs against backups to make it 30
ND 28 - WF 7 (3-9) we may not have looked great but we still won by 21 points

2014: 8-5
ND 48 - Rice 17 (7-5)
ND 38 - scUM 0(5-7)
ND 31 - SU 15 (3-9) ND was the 2nd team ever to win with -5 turnover margin and still won by 2 scores

2013: 9-4
ND 28 - Temple 6 (2-10)
ND 45 - Air Force 10 (2-10)

2012: 12-1
ND 50 - Navy 10 (8-5)
ND 43 - Miami 3 (7-5)
ND 30 - OU 13 (10-3)
ND 38 - WF 0 (5-7)

2011: 8-5
ND 31 - MSU 13 (11-3)
ND 38 - Purdue 10 (7-6)
ND 59 - AF 19 (7-6) Scored twice late against backups to make it 33
ND 56 - Navy 14 (5-7)
ND 45 - Mary 14 (2-10) scored a late TD against backups to make it 21

2010: 8-5
ND 31 - BC 13 (7-6)
ND 44 - WMU 20 (6-6)
ND 28 - Utah 3 (10-3) poured it on a superior team
ND 27 - Army 3 (7-6)
ND 33 - Miami 13 (7-6)

Now I know ND doesn't always finish other teams off but some of you make it seem like it has never happened when in fact ND does take care of business against a lot of teams on a regular basis. I admit that this year was a little frustrating with some late TDs skewing the win margin but there were 6 games where ND dominated

Totally expected to hate the commitment video, but it actually was pretty good lol

HUGE get! Hopefully this is the beginning of an epic recruiting finish.

Congrats, Daelin!

"Not only is he one of the classiest kids I've ever been around, he's a great player," Brock said. "People see that he hasn't played X amount of snaps… but the thing that is really important in evaluating is he checks all the boxes, with the character and academic boxes being first and foremost.

"Oh, by the way, he is 6-4, 240 pounds, probably runs a sub-4.7, is a natural bender and tremendously position versatile."

"We had a chance to get a glimpse of what the possibilities are," Brock said. "Now, he'll go and get a chance to be on a Division I strength program and training table, with their doctors and their rehab and he'll stay healthy. People will get a chance to see what type of player he really is." - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1835430&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.ktnWzbG3.dpuf

his personal trainer stated
"His work ethic is by far one of the best I've been around since I've been training and coaching," Graham said. "His maturity and focus has also been one of the best. He set the standard for a student-athlete in our community as far as handling everything on and off the field and with the media. I think he has been one of the best guys who's done it so far." - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1835430&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.ktnWzbG3.dpuf

"He's a coach's dream. He wants to be coached, he wants to be great," Brock said. "It was fun for us to coach him and have him this year because. With his talent, his ability and his accolades, he has that absolute hunger to grow and get better and get coached." - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1835430&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.ktnWzbG3.dpuf

"Flexibility, lateral movement, hand-eye coordination - I was like, this kid is a freak," Graham said. "He's been blessed with some great athletic abilities and athletic genes from his parents." - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1835430&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.ktnWzbG3.dpuf

I really think he is going to be successful at the college level just because he is mentally tough, been well prepared and he's driven and focused," Graham said. "Him going to college is just adapting to the non-stop grind. That's not anything he can't handle, but just adjusting to everything that is going to be thrown at him, especially going in as a mid-year kid." - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1835430&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.ktnWzbG3.dpuf
