Does themy playing in a the bowl game effect a medical redshirt?

Jarron red shirted his freshman year, so all signs point to next year being his 5th and final year either way. I expected next year to be his final year regardless of the potential medical redshirt.

Durham played up until the UVA game so I'm not sure he would have been in that category either.

I don't think there is any way that McGlinchey is going to handle Joey Bosa on his own. What I would like to see added to the offense, is the back getting a chip on Bosa, then releasing upfield while the receivers run the DBs deep. Get 15-20 yards a pop with relative ease. Potential huge play with a broken/missed tackle.

Disagree. I like both Stanley and Mcglinchey against bosa. They'll have plenty of time to break down his film to find tendencies and I think they'll neutralize him.

People say we match up well with their offense but we did against stanford too. Forcing stanford to beat us with the pass resulted in our secondary being torched, i sure hope we can fix that for this game

The difference is that Hogan is actually a somewhat accurate QB. OSU's 2 most accurate ones are playing receiver and left bench.

Yup. We've had 2 chances to make a statement this year, and have come up short both times. If we're the great team I think we are, we have to win this, not just play it close.

FYI for ticket buyers:

ND will be on the WEST SIDELINE. So you want to buy tickets in these sections... 101-114, 201-222 and 401-424

I just picked up some 35-40 yd line, 1st row - aisle seats upstairs for $150ea for a friend in case we don't get enough downstairs seats.

Took 3 minutes by calling Fiesta Bowl tickets at:

(480) 350-0911

Parkiing lot opens at 7am for tailgating. It will be in the upper 30's - low 40's at that time of the day so dress accordingly, it will however be perfect when you walk out after the game... unless it's raining.

Team is staying at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort which just happens to be where the NDC of PHX holds it's watch parties. We're gonna do New Year's Eve there, my buddy is with their corporate office.

The ND Club of Phoenix will probably have functions going on in the days leading up to the game, check here:

That's mainly because without Jones and a healthy Cage, we had to commit more bodies to bottle up McCaffrey add to the fact that we were just too banged up all around. Should be much fresher for the Fiesta Bowl. Zeke is still a very good RB, but far more conventional to defend than McCaffrey.

Add to the fact that Hogan is actually a very good QB when he decides to bring his game with him. Barrett has had his moments, but so far this year, he hasn't shown anything impressive through the air. No continuity either between him and the receivers.

You sure you aren't looking at Parking Passes?

Nope. $85 were available an hour ago when I was on the phone with them. They were upstairs in the 400 section from the endzone to the goalpost on ND's side.

Let's go! We are elite now as well. Time to show it. I feel like we're the only fanbase that gets scared when we play a team that's on equal ground as us.

I bet ohio state fans think they're gonna roll us. Well I think they've got another thing coming.

Keep turnovers down and lets get ready to rumble! Go Irish!

Extremely happy about this match-up. LSU last year, OSU this year. The opportunity to match up against last years NC? I am all about it. I dislike OSU about as much as UM-maybe more as they've been winning.

Knock - knock. The Irish need to answer this door.

Apparently a lot of Toledo folks here. In that town there are 3 teams you root for: Irish, Wolverines, or Buckeyes.

Don't think McGlinchey has to pancake block Bosa every down but he has to do enough to slow him down. Bosa has a high motor but I think the Irish can scheme around him enough to make it work. Bosa takes himself out of a lot of plays with his aggressiveness. Utilize plays, and a RB chip block here or there, and I think the Irish win that battle over the course of the game. The DL on the other side for the Buckeyes has to be accounted for however. I like Stanley to win that one most every time, but that DL has a tendency to move inside on plays so the Irish guard (sorry.. don't know the irish LG's name) will have to step up.

I live in Columbus. If OSU wins I will have to hear it for months or years. If ND wins I can finally shut them up. Please please win a big game on a big stage ND! I'm simply tired of the let downs.

Mike McGlinchey is a future 1st round pick and according to certain advanced stats, he was the best OL this season. He can very much hold his own against Joey Bosa. Should be an excellent battle.

Was hoping to avoid OSU and hoped the CFB committee would propel them over Iowa but alas, no. On 2nd look, should be a good game and ND absolutely has a chance to win. I imagine we see a similar game plan to the Stanford game; sell out to stop EE and make JT beat us.

Anyone else keep thinking of this every time they read BattleFrog?

This is my least favorite match up we could have asked for. But this is the hand dealt time to step up to the plate.

The Oline better be ready for Bosa and Washington. This is not normally the game our defense shines against. We can't sell out the run with the DB's play. When we drop in coverage and Jones a legit running threat will eat up big yards.

Not sure how is see this game playing out. BVG has his hands full. We did a good job preparing for LSU last year so i more opt to trust the staff can do this again. OSU had a huge win over Michigan to boast their moral as we lost ours. Hopefully our Guys can get Fresh.

DON"T turn the ball over and we stay in this game. Even though CJ should be healthy Adams still needs to get touches to change the styles of running. I think this becomes more of a shoot out then others. Not ready to pick a winner yet but i do believe the winning team will have 40 points.

Who would have thought before the season started, that we would be playing OSU and it wouldn't be in the playoffs?
